Let us not forget what brought this Sheriff and many rescuers out in frigid temperatures to save over 50 animals.
Come join us in Whitehall Court this Monday at 3:30 to see what sentencing the judge gives to Ernest Wood for freezing and killing animals in Granville
Please help represent the voiceless.

It’s so much fun getting to be Zack‘s final chapter in his vet school training. I was authorized to teach him general medicine for his last several weeks of vet school and we are having tons of fun. I am incredibly impressed with the brain in his head. He popped a lot of neurons while he was in vet school and it sure shows.🧠

Animal abusers are not very often just the evil animal abusers that you know them to be charged for. These people are very very frequently in need of either mental health support or severe punishment for other crimes, this is called Bridge crimes. This is when people like Christopher McKinney who “allegedly“ killed, beat starved animals in Whitehall, and has a true criminal history of hurting children, go on to do depraved things to other weak individuals. Those who hurt animals very often hurt the elderly, the mentally handicapped and children. These crimes must be swiftly and seriously punished.

Please join us this Monday in Whitehall court to show support for the animals that have suffered so horrifically at the hands of Christopher McKinney and Ernest Wood, “allegedly”.

Mama was rescued by Almost Home Rescue. She had minimal feeling in all four limbs, was unable to walk, stand or move in any capacity. 😢
Thankfully the rescue brought her to us for immediate care, or she most certainly would be paralyzed forever.
Prompt treatment permitted us to alleviate pressure on her spine from a very badly bulged disc.
After much rest, and a variety of medication, and medical care, Mama has her wiggle back🐶

Does anyone know the status of this dog?

Zack teaches Deacon and Akaida how to be wonderful dogs 🐶
Two dogs brought to me by law enforcement, separately, have lived at the vet clinic for weeks …..

That’s no life for dogs but we refuse to give up on them and will hope that the community pulls through to get them seen and rescued 🤞👍🐾

Wouldn’t it be nice if our community had that building that some counties actually call an animal shelter 😳WHAT the heck’s an animal shelter?
Well…
A municipal animal shelter allows animals like Akaida and Deacon, abused and surrendered to Washington County Sheriffs, to be rescued and placed in the safety of the animal shelter.

This shelter and all of the animals in it are taken care of by human beings, yes, human beings. Some of them are paid and some are volunteers. They have kind hearts and choose to make a difference. Dogs like these two would get medical and general care until they can be placed up for adoption. They would not be “killed” as one supervisor stated. They are adoptable and certainly perfect 🐾🐶

Because if New York mandates animal cruelty enforcement, then New York should also help mandate the infrastructure necessary to carry it out properly.

I believe shelters are not a luxury.
They are a necessary public safety tool.

😤🆘As there is no current Washington County municipal animal shelter, or any animal shelter, small rescues must step up to the plate to help coordinate care for abandoned, severely abused and surrendered animals.

🤨And let’s say that again, animals. We are not just a community that wishes to collect dogs running at large, aggressive, dogs by animal and dog control officers, are we?

👍I believe we can provide so much more.

🤞I am bringing you these sad and truly awful stories as a way to help one animal at a time find security. But, they all deserve our help.

♥️And let’s not judge or question why these animals are in the situation they are. Let’s just please find a way to make their hearts and flesh heal entirely.♥️

We have an appointment set today for the German Shepherd from Whitehall to be seen. Yet again, I am so grateful for all in the community to rise to the occasion of an animal in need.

🤲If anyone is capable of providing Zoe with a secure and very patient and loving home, please directly message me and I will do my best to be the liaison to get this coordinated.

🐾Zoe is a dog that only knows fight and flight! She doesn’t have a mean bone in her body, although she should! She has been injured, scars remain on her flesh and in her spirit. Zoe will take a very patient and soft spoken person, a quiet environment. She will be a dog that will at any chance given, run for the hills. This is not because Zoe means to escape love, but this is because she has never known love, instead knows pain.

🙏If you have the time, a huge heart♥️, and have worked with dogs that require special handling, please message me.

I thank you all once again.😊

Please join us in our mission to once and for all make the change long overdue for law enforcement go handle animal abuse cases and for animals to have a real shelter support all day, every day.
