Anfossi Acres

Anfossi Acres Momma-owned farm in Kentucky creating handmade goat milk soap and sharing the beauty of animals and nature.

Anfossi Acres is a small farm in Glasgow, Kentucky, built on faith, hard work, and a love for animals. At the heart of it all, I’m just a momma chasing her dreams and hoping to share the beauty, peace, and joy that come from life with nature and animals. We’re still growing, still learning, and only just getting started. Follow along as this dream continues to grow.

Soo grateful for this machine, because God knows I don’t have time to be milking by hand. Hats off to those of you who do, much respect! 🤍

Very excited about this!

One of our best mommas, “Momma,” had a beautiful baby girl a few days ago. Since she only had one—and because she’s just awesome—her udder has been extremely full. I milked her last night and got a full half gallon!

She’s a Nigerian Dwarf, and since she’s only a few days into milk, this is top-notch quality. All of our soap so far has been made with milk from our LaMancha doe, Scamper, and I’m really excited to see how this compares. Nigerian Dwarfs have higher butterfat, which should make the soap even more moisturizing.

These bars here aren’t made with Momma’s milk, but they do have something special—homegrown loofah from a friend’s farm! They’re scented with tea tree and lemongrass and are perfect for cleansing the dirtiest of the dirty… like us “filthy farm folks.” 😆

These will be ready in 6 weeks, and I’ll have bars made with Momma’s milk ready around the same time. 🥰

You might be wondering, “what’s up with the tiny soap?”. I’ll be offering those -unscented- as free samples to those that haven’t been convinced of the quality of goat milk soap… yet.

May 15th and 16th we’ll have a booth set up at the Fountain Run BBQ Festival. This is our first event selling our soap. Looking forward to it!

God has a way of turning mistakes into blessings, and this soap is proof of that. A few days ago, I made a jasmine batch that hardened way too fast, and I truly thought I had ruined it. But sometimes things come together in a better way than we planned.
What came from that “mistake” ended up being something really special.
So this one is called Confetti Soap — little chunks of jasmine-scented soap, surrounded by a creamy unscented base.

Such a beautiful day, a great ride, and sweet time with my precious girl.

Ms. Pepper gave us two very beautiful boys last week! She’s one of our most personable goats and has the prettiest coloring, so we’re really excited to have more of her offspring here on the farm.

And look at how big our piggies, Willie and Waylon, have gotten! They seem to grow every single day, and they are seriously hilarious to have around. They love wandering the property, and they’re starting to realize that humans = food and scratches… so now they come running their cute little selves right over to us.

Also, I just ordered new soap molds yesterday, and I’m so excited to get them! It’s going to be a busy week making sure I have enough soap ready for the Fountain Run BBQ Festival (May 15–16), along with some farmer’s markets we’re hoping to join this summer. Since soap takes 6–8 weeks to cure, it’s time to get some batches going now!

🤩 Update from Anfossi Acres 🤩

Harley is settling in so well already. Over the last couple of days, he has really started bonding with KoKo and Arlo, and it has been so sweet to watch.
He needed more time to settle before having his hooves trimmed.. so stay tuned, this next week I should have some good before and after pictures.

Athena, on the other hand, could not care less about Harley, and our mini pony seems to think he can take him on. 🤣 That should be interesting..

We also have another exciting update, today we purchased all 16 corral panels -plus a gate-for our new 60-foot round pen!

This is a huge step for us. Not only will it be a great size for the horses to work comfortably, especially our bigger horses 😏, but it will also make riding lessons much safer and more practical here at Anfossi Acres.

Now it’s time for these horses to get to work. 😆

We’ll definitely share a photo once the round pen is all set up. 🥰

Standing around 18 hands tall, we’d like to officially welcome Harley to the farm. 🐴

Harley is a 9-year-old Clydesdale × Belgian gelding who was previously Amish owned and is broke to ride and drive. He was at a last-chance kill pen in Arkansas— if he didn’t get a home quick, he would have been sent to a slaughterhouse in Mexico.

This sweet, handsome boy has excellent ground manners and a very calm and gentle demeanor.

And yes… the name was Andrew’s idea. Since he loves motorcycles, he figured now he can finally say, “I’m going to go ride my Harley.” 🙄 😆

We are so excited to have this big, beautiful boy here at Anfossi Acres, and we can’t wait for everyone to experience his amazing presence.

First things first… this guy needs a good hoof trimming! We’ll be having that done tomorrow, and I’ll be sure to provide before and after photos. 🥰

Welcome home, Harley. 😍

Have you ever had one of those mornings where you wake up a little groggy, still half asleep, thinking about everything you have to do that day… and then suddenly it hits you.

There’s something to be very excited about.

That’s how this morning felt here at Anfossi Acres.

We have something very special arriving at the farm tomorrow night. Something big. Something beautiful. Something we’ve been dreaming about for a while now.

The kids are excited. We’re excited. And we have a feeling many of you will be too.

Stay tuned… we’ll be introducing our newest addition on Saturday.
