Lakeside Animal Health is a new veterinary clinic in Glasgow, KY. We are located about 5 minutes south of town on Hwy 31-E, beside the former location of Honey's BBQ. Dr. Groce grew up in Barren County and earned a Masters of Science in Biology from Western Kentucky University. He then attended Auburn University, completing a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. We are currently busy renovating o

ur building and hope to be completed in the summer of 2014. In the meantime, however, Dr. Groce is available for ambulatory calls. And keep in mind, no animal is too large, too small or too unusual. While Dr Groce has extensive experience with common animals like cows, dogs, cats, goats, sheep, pigs and horses, he loves to see all different kinds of patients. Before returning to his hometown, Dr. Groce had the opportunity to treat ranch and PBR rodeo animals in Texas and he now has buffalo, camels, zebras, elk, deer, rats, and chinchillas on his client list, an unusual skill set that inspired our clinic slogan - "if you can own it, we can doctor it."

We are needing to hire a veterinary assistant. This is a full time position. Our days can be fast-paced and hectic but it can also be very rewarding work. We strive to create a great work environment and all our employees have been with us for 2-8 yrs. We figure if we have to work everyday then we might as well like each other and have fun. I'm so appreciative for all our clients but there's a special place in my heart for my earliest clients. Tyler Bryant was a client when I barely had any clients and he became a great friend to me and my practice. For years people would come in and say, "this guy was working at my house and he recommended you." I immediately knew it was either Tyler or the phone repairman. A few years ago my dryer quite over the weekend and he came to my rescue. He hadn't been here even a minute and he said, "ok, it's fixed." Frustrated, I said, "what the hell, Tyler?" As if telling me a secret, he explained, "you turned it to no heat." We had a big laugh over that and I made him promise that we'd never tell anyone else about it. Tyler was a wonderful man, friend and client. Anytime I was working in the back and heard his voice in the lobby it made me smile and want to come up to say hi. Tyler spent years coming to the rescue of so many of us who were inconvenienced by a protesting appliance. Hopefully, we can return that favor by supporting his beautiful young family who he loved so fiercely.
