This video clip demonstrates "food sprinkling" and how it can help put your dogs mind in another place when stressful situations arise. It can help tremendously with reactivity, barking, anxiety ... Sprinkle before the dog escalates when he's just starting to think about it! The idea is it sends the dogs brain down a different path- a road less traveled. When dogs, just like people, get in certian thought processes, the mind automatically goes there- like into stress or reactivity. when the food is introduced, it causes them to think differently. Gracie is showing off her enrichment dinner tonight!! This is a small box filled with all her toys and her dinner sprinkled in!! Roughly 8 minutes of sniffing and searching for her food!!

This is Pele….. he’s a longtime friend here at Cold Creek Dog Training🐾🐾. He came to us many many years ago as a board and train and he comes back for training refresher from time to time when his people travel.

He celebrated his ninth birthday with us and we had a trip to visit my 94-year-old mother and sister Sherry in Schuylkill county.

It might look like this is just a cute little Havanese dog hanging out with family…. but this is real life training and how we incorporate all we teach in the real world of living and loving your dogs.

We have been professionally teaching dogs since 2002 that’s a long time and a lot of dogs and peoples lives to change.

Training can happen anywhere… did you know having your dog do simple things like jumping up and down off strange objects or hunting a treat in a new area can build confidence? Building confidence decreases fear and and gets rid of issues generated by living in a fearful mindset
