The Gettysburg Area Recreation Authority GARA is kicking off a campaign to fund Gettysburg's first public off leash community Dog Park. The proposed Dog Park will be built on a beautiful one acre site with some mature trees at the Rec Park with easy access to parking. Our hope is to raise $25,000 to install fencing and signs in the first phase of the development process. This effort will be funde

d entirely through the generosity of dog lovers such as you.. In addition, we would like to provide you with a quality facility that will foster new friendships and the opportunity to get involved with the Rec Park family. While admission to the Dog Park will be free, all local dogs and owners are encouraged to registe rand be "founding members" of the park. Get your paws in on the ground floor to help with decision making and activities for your park ! Donations of any amount are now being accepted. A donation of $10 for a founding member will get your dog a reflective dog tag with the name of the park. Jump up and get involved and help us spread the word as we move forward towards the target date of June 1st !

We have a members that is looking for a dog and his owner to set up some times to meet at the park since the dogs got a long so well. The dogs name is Austin and he is a Jack Russell. If you know him please comment.
