May 20th will mark 7 years of Simply Pets being mine... which feels a little wild..
I bought Simply Pets in 2019 because I needed something to do, I wanted to build something of my own, and yes... I wanted to make money.
But I also really, really love animals.
I’m absolutely the person asking to pet your dog in public 😅
But somewhere along the way, it became so much more than that.
What we really do here is give pet parents peace of mind.
Because the truth is, reliable dog walking is harder to find than people think.
A lot of people assume:dogs are cute, people love dogs,so of course the dog walker will always show up.
Except... that’s not always what happens.
I get calls from pet parents whose walker suddenly disappeared.Moved.Changed jobs.Went back to school.Canceled with no real backup.
And now they’re left wondering who’s taking care of their dog next week.
That’s why Simply Pets matters.
We exist for the working pet parent. The anxious dog mom.The busy family. The person working from home who still can’t get out for the walk their dog really needs.
We exist to be the dependable one.The calm one.The “we’ve got you covered” one. 😌
And behind that peace of mind is a LOT of work.Every week we’re organizing 175–200 visits, building routes, managing timeframes, supporting sitters, solving problems, and making sure every pet gets the care they need.
I’m proud of all of it.But especially the team.
I’ve worked really hard to build a team that is reliable, thoughtful, and truly amazing at what they do.When a client tells me how much they trust us, it means everything...because I know how much intention went into building that trust. 🩵
And next?I want more growth.More community presence.More fun.More ways to support local pet parents.Maybe pup cup events.Maybe adventure walks one day.Definitely more good things ahead. ✨
Thanks for letting us do this.It means more than you know.
