If your pet gets anxious during fireworks (or just has strong opinions about loud noises), now’s the time to plan ahead! Don’t wait until July 3rd to call us in a panic—we love you, but your dog will love us more if you call early. 🐾💊

🌞🐾 HEAT WAVE WARNING: DON’T ROAST YOUR PET! 🐾🌞

Attention all pet parents: this weekend is going to be hotter than a squirrel in a sauna! 🔥 And while we humans can crank up the A/C and sip iced coffee, our furry friends rely on us to keep them safe.

Here’s how to keep your pets cool, comfy, and out of the ER:

🚫 No Pavement Paw-lava Walks
If you can’t walk barefoot on the pavement, neither can your dog. Those paws are tough, but not lava-proof! Walk early in the morning or late in the evening, and stick to grassy areas when you can.

🚗 No Hot Car Hangouts
Even with the windows cracked, a car can turn into a four-wheeled oven in minutes. If you’re running errands, leave your pets at home in the A/C where they lounge in comfort.

💧 Water is Life
Make sure your pet has plenty of fresh, clean water. Bonus points for adding ice cubes (or a mini pool party if you’re feeling fancy).

🌳 Limit Outdoor Time
Sunbathing is cute until it’s not. Keep outdoor time short, shady, and supervised—especially for flat-faced breeds, seniors, and chonky fluffballs.

🚨 Know the Signs of Heatstroke
Excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, vomiting, or collapse are all red flags. If you think your pet is overheating, get them to a vet immediately.

Let’s all stay cool out there—and remember, a hot dog belongs on a grill, not on a leash in the sun. 🐶🌭💦
