It weighs heavily on my heart to share the not so good times, but I feel that you all appreciate the transparency. We were very hopeful for a litter from our sweet Butter bunny last week, but unfortunately the breeding was not successful in a sense of healthy babies. We did not use our usual Lop buck breeder, Toast, and that could be the biggest factor as to why, but I don't think we will really know. This litter had some issues right from the start, and we lost all four unfortunately. It may come as a surprise to some of you, but, we bred her to Toast promptly after the loss. The reason we do this, while confirming she is in good health, including her weight, is to prevent mastitis. So with that in mind, we hope to have another litter from Butter next month.
