Meet Marsha ID #: 59956047 ❤

This petite little girl comes to us as a stray. She didn't have a collar with tags, a microchip, and when shared on our website we received no inquiries from any family that may be missing her🥺

We estimate she is still very young, just about a year old. She weighs just 37lbs and likely won't be getting much bigger than that! She has received all intital vetting including spay, microchip, and a negative HW test😊

This girl isn't quite ready to make her debut on the adoption floor. She is still very shy and being excpected to meet tons of new people would be very overwhelming for her. We are seeking a foster home that will act as a stepping stone for Marsha, allowing her a calm space to continue working on socialization and help get her adoption debut ready🐾

➡If you are interested in fostering Marsha, please email [email protected].

We are shocked that this girl hasn't received any interest. We are still seeking a breed specific or breed experienced rescue for Mistletoe, who came to us as a stray before Christmas💔

Mistletoe is a very sweet and social girl to the handlers she has come to know well. She is tolerant for routine handling (collaring, leashing, removing from kennel, and returning to kennel). She does seem to have a much lower threshhold for medical handling and restraint. We have also noticed she warms much more quickly to female handlers. She does have a few fears that she will need help conquering but she has so much potential!🥰

Snowy has essentially grown up in the shelter, which is heartbreaking to see💔 She was surrendered to us several months back now. Since intake she has faced one trial after the next to no fault of her own. Her initial time with us was spent in isolation for ringworm treatment. Typically this isolation is never lengthy but because of some elevated kidney values her treatment plan became quite complex.

We are happy to report that Snowy has since received a negative PCR and she has been moved to our nursery ward with all of our other young and spunky kittens🐾 What she has missed in isolation she is making up for now with endless headbutts!🥰 Snowy is eating a urinary prescription food and is currently taking Levothyroxine. We suspect Snowy suffers from Hypothyroidism. It's very possible she will need to remain on medication for management and that she will need to routinely have her thyroid level checked. Because of this, we are urgently seeking rescue placement.

Short Stop would like to show you her new sweater that came in with some donations we received!💗

Short Stop comes to us as an owner surrender, she and another play mate were frequently getting loose in the neighborhood. Not every owner is willing to put forth the effort to make changes to help this from ocurring again. Unfortunately for Short Stop, she was relinquished to the shelter with a euthanasia form signed😔

Short Stop is a very loving girl that is deserving of a family that will cherish her. She has been introduced to other dogs here at the shelter, she certainly prefers calm and gentle dogs who give her space. Short Stop would be happiest with someone low energy like herself or even as the only four legged friend in the home🏡🐾

Meet Frosty❄

Frosty comes to us as a stray. With no collar/tags, microchip, or any luck from our Lost and Found page posting - he finds himself needing placement😔

We are seeking a breed specific or breed experienced rescue for Frosty. It's not uncommon especially for working breeds to struggle immensely under shelter stressors. Frosty appears to have some aversions to being restrained. He does well for collaring, leashing, and even being removed and placed back into his kennel! But he has a very low tolerance for medical handling. Due to him having some behavioral concerns that need future addressing, he is not available for adoption to the general public at this time.

▪Sex: Unaltered male (can be neutered for rescue pull)

Sock, like many others animals do, entered our shelter as a stray💔 She was found with another dog named Cocoa Puff. Both dogs were incredibly friendly upon intake, being more than tolerant of the strange new faces administering vaccines to them.

Without a collar with ID tags or microchip to identify Sock or Cocoa Puff, we were left with no leads to help locate their family. Cocoa Puff has since been adopted and we hope it will now be Sock's turn to find a forever home of her own🥺

Meet Bing B**g🐾

This boy comes to us as a stray with no leads to a potential family that could be missing him😔 He was very fearful when he first arrived but he has quickly learned we are only here to help him. We've quickly learned that Bing B**g's personality shines brightest when he's around another four-legged friend!⭐ We are hoping to secure foster placement or rescue transfer where Bing B**g can receive continued socialization and gain confidence with handlers.

Drumroll please, our first rescue pull of 2026!!!🎉

Thank you The Tucker McGirt Foundation🐾 This is one of our long standing rescue partnerships that helps us by placing adoption ready cats and kittens.

Although these kitties might not always have the most extensive medical needs or behavioral issues, The Tucker McGirt Foundation doesn’t shy away from those with special needs. They have taken in seniors, blind cats, and even tripods!

This continued partnership helps us tremendously especially during kitten season. Being able to transfer out adoption ready cats and kittens helps alleviate space constraints in some of our busiest times💗

Meet Potato Chip🐾

This boy comes to us as a stray, sadly his emancipation date has come and gone and it doesn't appear that a family is looking for him🥺 "Chip" (for short) doesn't come to us with any prior history, so it was quite alarming when we observed potential seizure like activity several days ago. Without additional information, we can't determine the potential cause. This could be a reaction to ingesting something toxic or even a reaction to being vaccinated.

The good news is that the seizure appeared to be very mild lasting just 15 seconds and he resumed normal behaviors following. We have closely monitored and have not seen any other seizure like activity since. We are seeking rescue placement for Chip so he can continue to be moniotored and if necessary receive treatment if he does indeed have a seizure disorder.
