Life is an ever changing, ever evolving journey and there are often events that mark the timeline of that journey.
One of those points for us was purchasing the property we affectionately call “The Willett Hillbilly Estate” 19 years ago this month.
Another is upon in now, last Friday we closed on the sale of that property and have turned the page to a new chapter.
I could ramble on for a long time about all the wonderful memories of gatherings, events and happenings that have taken place over all these years. We may take the next month and do just that, try to share memories as we sort and pack.
Thank you all who have blessed us with those memories and love.

The orange one looks to me like an angry cowardly lion.

I am dubbing this “the amazing plant”. It quite amazing that it’s so colorful and full of blooms November 20th! What may be even more amazing is these are volunteers!! The seeds fell from a hanging plant that was suspended above, last year!!

This poor kitty has been hanging around our driveway for a a couple months. It is often joined by a large Orange cat, a pretty white and gray cat and a black cat.
Would love to find homes for them before winter get here in earnest. Or get help spaying/ neutering them.

This might be a long post but we’re mad and sad about something that happened yesterday.
Since Saturday there has been a stray dog hanging around our property. It’s a medium sized white with black spots terrier, maybe a young pit. We’ve put water and food out but have not been able to get within 100 feet of it. It runs off if I approach it in my black car or on foot. Monday when the missus came down the driveway in her grey suv to the dog actually chased her car down the driveway but ran off when she stopped and tried to talk to it.
Here is the disturbing part…
Yesterday while in the back yard I heard a strange noise and looking over the fence I saw the dog, in the road. It was yipping and yapping at a grey suv!! Running around it, jumping on it, trying to get in! There was a woman driving and at least three children in the backseat with windows down yelling (I couldn’t hear what) all the while the pup is jumping and squealing.
Sadly they started driving away and I did hear someone say “go faster “, the poor dog was was running as fast as it could trying to keep up 😢.
There could be several explanations, I hope they didn’t “come back” to visit the pup they abandoned over the weekend. There really is no reason for a family to be on that road but they could have innocently come upon it and it loves kids? Again, we’ve not bee able to get near it, forget it’s trying to jump on our car or get into it.
We didn’t see the dog after that, no telling how far it chased that car💔.
Say a prayer for it please.

Apparently along with “fire pit season” comes spider season also. Can’t walk in the yard or woods without ducking, going around or taking down a web (usually with my face).
