Just remember..... If you're hot, they're hot(ter)!
Here's your reminder that as the days (and mornings) heat up, we might want to consider changing outdoor activities.
Always make sure they have access to fresh water! Frozen dogsicles (blend low fat Greek yogurt, watermelon and water and freeze) are a huge favorite in our house!
Walk your dog early in the morning - the earlier the better!
If it's too hot for that afternoon or evening walk (check the pavement prior to taking them out), take them for a car ride. Consider outings to pet friendly stores (only if your dog is okay with those surroundings) like Home Depot or Lowe's!
For the furries that aren't a fan of socializing, try a treat puzzle or feeding them their kibble from a snuffle mat! Wet food eaters might enjoy a topple cup. There are also wonderful treats puzzles available.
For all the pups, 15 minutes a day of training or learning a new trick is highly recommended!
15 minutes a day of nose work and training can go a long way in keeping them mentally stimulated and prevent boredom!
