Monday was new toy day and water play and the crowd went wild! If you don’t see your baby in the pictures, hold tight! I’ve got three videos coming! They are all in at least pictures and/or videos! We are doing our very best to entertain them, care for them, feed them and photograph them! Summer is busy at the playhouse 😂

Mondays are always fun at the Playhouse! The pack loves being back together after the weekend, and right now they’re especially excited to have so many new boarding friends to meet and play with! We’ll have lots of photos and videos to share tomorrow!

Please read and use flea, heartworm and tick prevention religiously! It is required at the playhouse!

🚨 TICK SEASON IS HERE 🚨

Ticks are more than just a nuisance—they can carry serious diseases that affect both pets and people. A single tick bite can lead to health issues such as Lyme disease, ehrlichiosis, and other tick-borne illnesses.

🐾 Why regular grooming matters:
✅ Helps us spot ticks hiding in your dog’s coat
✅ Allows for early removal before they become a bigger problem
✅ Keeps the coat clean and easier to inspect
✅ Helps you stay aware of your pup’s overall skin and coat health

🐾 Prevention is key:
✔️ Keep your dog on a veterinarian-recommended flea and tick preventative year-round
✔️ Check your dog after walks, hikes, and outdoor playtime
✔️ Keep grass and brush trimmed around your home
✔️ Schedule regular grooming appointments

We are finding more ticks than ever this season, especially on dogs with longer or thicker coats. Regular grooming and prevention work together to help keep your pup healthy and comfortable.

Hey Baxter’s families! Rowan is here to let you know that we will be closed August 1st–9th for our annual family vacation and to give our hardworking staff some well-deserved time to rest after a busy summer!
Many of you know us personally and know that we still have a daughter in school. August gives us one last chance to spend time together as a family before the school year begins. We always try to schedule our vacation as late as possible so we can continue serving as many of our families as we can.

We will be available for boarding pick-ups as late as possible on July 31st, and if absolutely necessary, we may have a team member available for limited pick-ups on August 1st.
We are so sorry if our time away overlaps with your travel plans. If you need care for your baby while we’re closed, please reach out! We always want to be your first choice, but we’re happy to recommend trusted alternatives to help make sure your Baxter’s baby is well cared for while we’re away.
Thank you, as always, for your understanding and for allowing us the opportunity to spend this time with our family. We appreciate each and every one of you more than you know. ❤️
