New Year, new dog? Older dog wanting to learn more tricks?
Just Dog People is now offering group training classes!
Basic Dog 101 is our foundations class. This course focuses on the basic commands such as sit, down, stay, come, leash walking and focused attention, typical for a beginner’s course.
In addition to those skills, we also include target, touch, stand, paws up and close. These supplementary foundation commands elevate this class from just a regular introductory class for beginners and make it appropriate as a place to start for dogs who have already had some basic training.
The Basic Dog focuses on mental and physical fitness for your pup and includes exposure to Fitpaws dog fitness equipment and puzzle toys to challenge them! Your dog will learn to sit on a balance disc and have self-control while placed on their Klimb (an elevated station). Using this equipment can help elevate your dog’s response to commands and keep training fun and engaging.
Finally, confidence building is the last element to this course. Dogs will be introduced to agility obstacles such as the tunnel, mini A frame, dog walk, table and much more! Building your dog’s confidence will help them cope with unpredictable environments as you take them places such as traveling, dog friendly stores and the vet.
This course is a ten-week course and is $399. There is a 5-dog limit to ensure lots of one-on-one attention.
Game Dog 101 is a fun class created to make practicing fun! Every game was created and designed to practice your dogs’ skills. If you have never played Scrabble with your dog here’s your chance!
This course uses agility equipment and Fitpaws fitness equipment in each game to help proof your dog’s learned behaviors and continue to challenge them in a creative way.
Games include Scrabble, Jenga-Uno, Go Sniff, Yaptzee, Chutes and Tunnels and many more.
Each Game Dog course (101 and 102) meets for six weeks and plays one game per week. This course is $199. Maximum of 5 dogs to ensure game time.
Due to the games involving agility and fitness equipment, we recommend taking the Basic Dog first. If you are looking for a new and engaging activity for a dog that has had a lot of training and some experience with agility, this class may be a good fit.
Classes are limited to 5 participants and are filling fast! Please message if you are interested in signing up!
