Sweet Peas Urban Gardens We grow nutrient dense microgreens bursting with flavor for fine-dining and everyday consumption! Hi, we are Sweet Peas Urban Gardens, or SPUG for short.

We produce pesticide-free Microgreens in the heart of Garner, NC for restaurants, CSA's, farmer's markets, and produce delivery services. WHAT ARE MICROGREENS?

Microgreens are tiny vegetables and herbs that are harvested at their maximum nutrient density, at the formation of the first "true leaves" of the plant. In 2012, a study published at the Uni

versity of Maryland concluded that microgreens contain between 4 and 40 times the nutrient density of their full grown relatives. Thus, a tablespoon of raw microgreens is a full serving of vegetables. In addition to their superfood properties, microgreens pack tremendous flavor into a small bite. The team at Sweet Peas Urban Gardens believes that urban farming is fundamental to the creation of healthy, sustainable food production for our growing metropolitan society. As more folks flock to revitalized inner cities and neighborhoods, the demand for locally produced fresh food is expanding, catalyzing a re-evaluation of the potential of these traditionally non-agricultural landscapes. We will be receiving various amounts of food waste donations and adding it to our composting system!

It’s obvious there is a long history and problem with our food system so we are taking small steps to making a bigger difference!

We are in the process of offering the Sweet Peas Community Garden space as a small events venue!

We are planning to offer a complete package for you and your loved ones. Whether it’s a milestone birthday or a wedding! 🥳🍾💍

Everything from event management & catering to an in house wedding officiant!

Exciting news!

This weekend at our monthly 3rd Saturday volunteer event we are getting a spiral garden!

Our good friend Delany is heading this installation for her Eagle Scouts project. With the help of her friends, family, & YOU!

“What is a spiral garden”, you say?

Check out the sketch, simply a very intentional garden design with plants inside a spiral. We will be planting a variety of native and pollinating plants. 😎🪻🌻💐

Every 3rd Saturday we also come together after the hard work is done and enjoy a potluck style lunch. So bring your favorite recipe along to share with the group!
