Blue Skies of Mapleview is designed to foster the horse/human/heart connection. Semester long courses begin in August and February, with ground work, and bareback riding, students must earn their saddles and bridles with their good balanced seat, and position. We have unexpected openings in week 2 (June29-July3) and week 4 (July 20-24). We also still have some economically based scholarship money to go towards your week of horsemanship, riding every day, mounted games, grooming, groundwork, roundpenning, art, outdoor games and a cool pool to end each day. 8:30-3:00 Monday through Friday. We have lots of boots and helmets to lend out. We are a small horse centric drama free barn and teach English balanced seat riding without bits! Children and teens who come to camp are in a higher priority for getting a spot in the fall lesson semester. We won the Best Summer Horse camp Award two years running 2024 and 2025 by Chapel Hill Magazine. Our new color SUMMER CAMP brochure is back from the printers and the registrations are coming in! We are offering four weeks of summer horse camp in June and July. I hope you can join us for a camp that is completely horsecentric!! We do groundwork, clinics and ride every morning. Then, in the heat of the day we learn from an craftsperson how to create some beautiful artwork. All of our horses are experienced members of the Blue Skies community. Ms. Deborah has been teaching for over thirty years and is always learning more ways to have fun with horses and have her students become the leaders that the horses want to follow!
