🩺🐾 Happy Veterinary Technician Appreciation Week! 🐾🩺
Vet techs really are the glue, the gears, and the caffeine holding an animal hospital together. 😂☕️ They can draw blood from a wriggling old dog, comfort a nervous young puppy, sweet-talk a spicy cat who has chosen violence, monitor anesthesia, remember which patient needs meds at exactly 2:00pm… and somehow also know where the doctor left their stethoscope. Again. 👀 They get peed on. They get pooped on. They get drooled on. They get covered in fur. They get exposed to an impressive variety of “mystery fluids” that we simply do not discuss outside of veterinary medicine. And somehow, they just keep going.
Vet Techs are part phlebotomist, part radiology tech, part surgical nurse, part dental hygienist. They’re part anesthetist, part lab scientist, part groomer, part grief counselor. They’re part therapist (for pets and for people), part janitor, part detective, part magician. And somehow, they’re also part mind reader, part animal whisperer, professional treat dispenser, and occasional miracle worker. They juggle science, compassion, and complete chaos - usually while running on caffeine, snacks they haven’t had time to finish eating, and pure determination. ☕️😂 But underneath all the jokes, there’s something we are completely serious about: An animal hospital simply could not run without its technicians!!! Their knowledge matters. Their skills matter. Their compassion matters. THEY matter. ❤️
