Three Little Pitties Rescue Save Lives with Us! Our rescue saves dogs and cats from streets & shelters in the Houston area, finding them loving homes across the U.S. & Canada.

We adopt out with transport stops in WA, OR, UT, ID, OH, VA, CT, NY, VT, PA, TN, KY, IN, IL, WI & MN! The animals that come into our program are placed in foster homes or boarding, given time to decompress and receive proper medical treatment, then they are posted for adoption in northern states for families like you to adopt!

She is the most precious little thing… and y’all, she smells like a porta potty. ❤️‍🩹

That’s how badly Dolly has been neglected.

She is literally pulling at her own skin.

Biting at the mats. Tugging at her fur. Trying to get relief from something that has been hurting her for who knows how long.

And this is the part that makes us sick.

We wish Dolly was the first dog we’ve seen like this.

She isn’t.

This is Houston. We see neglect like this way too often.

At some point, Dolly belonged to someone. And somehow she ended up starving, severely matted, soaked in filth and alone at a gas station.

But not anymore.

She is SAFE. She is fed. She is ours now. ❤️

Her name is Dolly. 🩷

And we chose that name very intentionally.

This girl’s journey is going to spread joy, generosity, and love.

She can feel every single one of those mats pulling on her skin.

These aren’t simply knots. They are thick, heavy mats pulled tightly against her body, restricting her movement and making it difficult for her to walk—or even jump into the car.

Dolly was found all alone at a gas station in Houston, with people walking past her and going about their day.

No one stopped.
No one helped.
No one was even looking at her.

She was suffering in plain sight.

But then…

She trusted our teammate.

She got up, tail wagging.

As if she knew this was the moment everything was going to change.

Welcome to Three Little Pitties Rescue, Dolly. 🥹🩷

We don’t know everything that happened to her yet.

But we know she has suffered for a long time.

And now she is going to know something very different:

Love.
Safety.
Comfort.
Care.

Every animal unloading today started somewhere different — a shelter, the streets, a hard situation, or simply somewhere they had been overlooked.

Because of fosters, volunteers, donors, transport teams, and adopters, they got the chance to keep moving forward. A huge thank you to Petco Love for making this mission possible.

She didn’t think that anyone actually saw her. Because obviously no one has ACTUALLY seen her in a very long time.

She is innocent. And she has been suffering. The pictures that you’re seeing here do not begin to show you the severity of her situation.

She was found lying at a gas station in 100-degree heat, completely emaciated, dehydrated, with people walking in and out of the business going about their lives. She was used to feeling invisible.

Her skin is raw. Bleeding.
Her paws are blistered. The urine soaked into her fur so badly that it burned through parts of her skin.

A bag of dog food was shaken, and somehow, despite the pain she was in, she got herself up and made her way toward the car.

TODAY is her day. She is seen by ALL OF US. Thousands of people. She is finally seen.

We are going to save her. Be a part of her story. Stand with us.

She needs medical care, fluids, wound treatment, testing, and to be safely shaved down so we can finally see just how much damage is underneath all of that matted fur.

A dog does not get into this condition overnight. This happened over time.

But today, it stops.

We rescue dogs and cats in Texas and help get them HOME all across the country. 🐾

Some people don’t just support rescue — they become part of it. ❤️

Today, we’re celebrating three incredible people who continue to show up for Three Little Pitties in so many ways!!!

Bart Kendrick — Bart first came to us as a volunteer, caring for dogs and cats recovering from surgery. Somewhere along the way, he became a forever dad, and he’s continued showing up for our animals, our team, and our mission ever since. We’re so grateful to have him as a 2026 Gala Sponsor!

This isn’t the news we wanted to share tonight. 💔

Two of Willow’s babies, Ridge and Clover, passed away this afternoon.

And honestly, this is the part of rescue that absolutely breaks you. You can do everything you can and sometimes it still isn’t enough. We don’t know exactly why we lost them, and that’s really hard to sit with.

But Willow and her foster parents are doing everything they can for the babies who are still here.

Willow came into the clinic today and she was a little scared, but she was such a good girl and just let us do what we needed to do. This poor mama is absolutely covered in ticks and has a massive worm infestation. And, as we feared, she is heartworm positive too.

She has been through so much. And she is still taking care of her babies.

So we’re going to keep fighting. We’re going to keep showing up. We’re going to do everything we can for this little family.

LITERALLY THE CUTEST THING EVER. 🥹🐶 We HAD to share it all.

Mama Daisy and her puppies are stealing our hearts, and honestly… we don’t know how anyone is supposed to resist this level of cuteness. 😭❤️

This sweet family came to us after Daisy was found as a stray and ended up in an overcrowded shelter. Now, she and her babies are safe, getting the care they need, and soaking up all the love.
