Timberbrook Farm is an 80 acre horse farm convenient to Northern Baltimore County and Southern York County, Pennsylvania. We offer horseback occupational therapy services (known as hippotherapy) to help our clients achieve their personal goals by gaining confidence & independence, focus, motor skills, balance, stre

Administrative Coordinator
Nonprofit Therapeutic Horseback Riding Organization

Are you looking for work that has a purpose? Do you love working with people, animals, and being part of a team that changes lives? Are you looking for a positive, uplifting environment where you can grow?

Since 2017, TTL has harnessed the therapeutic power of animals to achieve goals, inspire independence, and build a community for people of all abilities. Many of our therapy animals were rescued and trained specifically to serve in this capacity. The Administrative Coordinator works closely with the lead occupational therapist and reports directly to the president of the board of directors to implement the overall mission and vision of the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative functions including scheduling, billing, and client communication with a focus on providing excellent service.
• Help coordinate and support staff and volunteers, including scheduling, onboarding, and training.
• Assist in conducting sessions and caring for the animals on the farm
• Assist lead occupational therapist and board of directors in cultivating programs and building relationships with donors
• Help produce content for newsletter, social media, and press releases.
• Assist with grant research, preparation, and reporting as needed.
• Organize and manage events including public tours of the facility, fundraisers, volunteer events, Family Day, our October Farm Festival, and our Fall Team Appreciation Event to meet goals for fundraising, increasing community awareness and engagement, and expanding our program.

THIS ROLE IS A GREAT FIT FOR SOMEONE WHO:
• Is highly organized and follows through on details
• Loves working with people and animals
• Is comfortable working both outdoors and in an office setting
• Enjoys being part of a small, mission-driven team
• Takes initiative and can manage multiple tasks without constant supervision

QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience in program development and project management
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to foster positive, productive relationships among staff, volunteers, instructors, riders and their families
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and computer skills
• Strong professional reputation and record of integrity, sound judgment and respect for established ethical standards
• Ability to obtain and maintain a favorable criminal background report

WORK ENVIRONMENT
• Work requires occasional physical effort in handling of materials, up to 50 pounds, in strenuous work environment
• Requires sitting and use of computer and keyboard for extended periods of time
• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time
• Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less Precise hand-eye coordination with the ability to judge distance and space relationships
• Ability to work 20 hours/week Tuesday to Saturday

COMPENSATION - $18 to $22/hr
