Juneteenth Community Impact Initiative To Honor Ms. Opal Lee In Fort Worth

Fort Worth will host a Juneteenth Community Impact weekend focused on literacy, mentorship, youth engagement, second chances, mental wellness, and community healing.

The initiative will honor legendary Juneteenth advocate Ms. Opal Lee during her historic 100th birthday year. Events include a community press conference and conversation on June 18 at the Bob Bolen Public Safety Complex, an Isaac Keys book signing at The Dock Bookshop, and Opal Lee’s Walk for Freedom on June 19.

We will not be at Cowtown this Saturday as I have a class to teach Saturday morning. The farm stand will be open as usual at the corner of Rosedale and Evans (1109 Evans) from 1 PM until 4 PM.
