Hey Stan... I must say, I disagree with Miss Rhode Island this year!! I'm afraid we really needed a warm coat, gloves, and rain boots today!! Even while I was out walking Mochi and Rudy they gave me the look, like what happened to our nice weather?? Today, sure wasn't the perfect April 25th we had hoped for. There's always next year!!

On my walk today with Tillie and Poppi, I was working with Little Miss Poppi on keeping her walking on the sidewalk and walking straight. Plus, we were working on Poppi making less contact with Tillie on the walk, doing her little right side bumps. If I keep the leash short and stop her and tell her no repeatedly, she will stop. Tillie doesn't really respond to her, but I know it does irritate her a little. Tillie is a great walker, so she doesn't need any direction. My focus is solely on Poppi while we are walking. Both Poppi and Tillie walk on Easy Walk Harnesses by PetSafe Brand. These harnesses have made a big difference in walking both Poppi and Tillie. Poppi made some progress today, so I let the leash out, and she did a good job walking at a further distance. The next thing we're working on, which is a big work in progress, is sit and stay at picture time. She does not want to stay in place for any length of time at all while she's outside when requested. She will sit and stay inside but not outside. I only get lucky if I get a shot of them together looking at me in one spot. We will continue to work on sit on stay until we get this mastered outside. I got lucky today I got this shot when she stayed for a millisecond.

Boz decided he needed to go for a swim again. He was warm, so I obliged. We need either some water to come down from the mountains or rain. It's just not deep enough yet to have fun in the creek to keep him clean. We had to rinse in a new spot before we headed back home. He can't return home with any mud on him whatsoever!!

Happy Earth Day!! "Confucius knows the Earth is alive. We observe its presence, appreciate its beauty, and participate in its creativity." This means each of us must do our part to protect this beautiful place we call home!! I'm very fortunate to see these amazing views of our planet each day when I complete my work when I see each member of my tribe. I do my part to make certain she stays as beautiful as I found her, if not better!! Please help me do the same!! My family planted 10 plants today and they're planting a tree tomorrow. I know she's sending us a thank you!!

It's worth being a little dramatic since it's April 18th, and we have snow. Not much, but we do have snow. I know, I know, we're in Colorado but it was almost swimming in the creek weather not that long ago. Now I'm out working for all my clients in all my winter gear again and I was in short a week ago!! This, too, will pass. It looks like the sun will start to return on Sunday. So... " Fenway and I send our greeting to everyone today with a big Hi To All from snowy Coloradoo"!! I just love seeing all the white flowering trees all over town right now. They're so pretty and smell so good. I made sure to get some pictures before the rain, wind, and snow coming take all these pretty flowers away until next spring. With Easter this Sunday and all the Easter Lilies appearing in all the stores, please remember that if you have a cat in your home, you need to keep all Lilies out of your home. Not only Easter Lilies, this includes Lilies in flower arrangements. Lilies are beautiful and smell so good, but their leaves and pollen are extremely dangerous to all the kitties, possibly leading to death. We all know how curious cats can be. You think you put something up high enough, and they still can get to it. It's just not worth keeping these flowers in your home. There are many other plants and flowers that present some type of danger to cats and dogs. Make certain you educate yourself on what is safe to have around your pets in your home and in your yard. Your pets are counting on you to keep them safe!!

Happy 5th Birthday!! Mochi and Rudy's birthdays are just a few months apart, so we had a joint birthday party. They had one heck of a great time and absolutely love their yummy birthday cake!! They just love their yummy birthday cake!! I had to move the cake from Rudy's side because he wanted to eat it, and Mochi had a hard time staying still. She wanted to get to it, too.

Fun Blue Heron adventure with the girls on a warm spring day!! One thing I quickly learned is that the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel has a little Pointer in the breed. Both Tillie and Poppi were very quick to point out the Blue Heron on the shoreline immediately as they spotted it. I'm generally very much in the know on these things, but these two were very quick to alert me. We approached slowly to check things out. Then the Blue Heron took flight, which was pretty cool to watch for where we were standing.

Today is National Hug Your Dog (Pet) Day!! Take an extra moment to give your fur baby and extra cuddle!! All our furry family members bring us love and laughter and comfort into our lives each and every day. Today is the perfect day to show them just how much they mean to us. So give them that extra long hug and celebrate the unbreakable bond you share!! Bentlley was diagnosed with cancer 6 months ago and given about 3 years. He has had his good days and bad days. We're making sure we enjoy all the days he has left with us. He gets lots of hugs and anything he wants to ensure his happiness continues!!

It's a true Colorado check when you start in the morning in a parka because it's snowing and by noon you feel you should be in shorts. Ari looks out at the foothills and mountains in the afternoon at the snow still present from our vantage point and is happy this walk is much warmer and dryer than her morning walk. I agree with her 100%!!
