Our hearts are crushed today as we lost a big part of our family. Dreamer is and always will be my "Heart" dog. He brought smiles and laughs to us every day of his life. He eagerly gave us snuggles and kisses that brought light to even the darkest days. Dreamer was the best big brother to all the Awe BC puppies delivered into this world. And could he do tricks! We brought you into this world ten years ago and sadly had to say goodbye today. There will never be another "Dreamer". Hug your AWEBorderCollies babies today. Cherish every moment. Let them know how much life they bring to your lives.

Happy Birthday to AWE Luna and the "Moon Shadow" Litter of 2017. The final Nash x Bella litter was born the same month as our Total Solar Eclipse of 2017 that crossed North America us here in Colorado/Wyoming. 7 Years ago we welcomed these 7 beautiful babies.

Hey! Everybody! Look-y here! We really need your help! We’ve got a pup who is in desperate need of a foster home with no other dogs (or cats) and someone experienced with BCs. She’s just turned a year old, is quite a character :), has all kinds of skills - plus has learned a lot of tricks. :) We are wracking our brains, coming up empty…but we know there’s someone out there who fits this bill. Please, remind us you are out there! Think you can help? If you have fostered for us or adopted from us already, email us at [email protected] and title your email I CAN FOSTER. Don't forget we provide behavior support to each and every foster family who feels their foster dog needs it.

If you DO have other dogs - well, we just so happen to have about NINE other BCs looking to come in. Yes NINE!!! No kidding. Many are in danger in overcrowded shelters. So don't be shy! Fostering saves lives.

If you haven’t fostered for us before, but want to 🙂, or might be in the market for a year old redheaded girl, head to our site wbcrescue.org and complete and submit an application. Anyone out there, who lives in CO, WY or immediately surrounding states is welcome to apply.

Keep in mind that not every foster family is suitable for every foster dog in need - some pups need very experienced folks, some need rural settings, some can’t live with cats, some can only live peaceably with certain other dogs, etc - so the more of you who speak up, the more likely we will be to get all the dogs currently in need a safe place to land.

We can't thank Colorado State University Veterinary Teaching Hospital enough. Their staff, Vet Techs and the surgery team, Dr. Eric Monnet and the other Veterinarians, did an awesome job getting our little girl, Porsche, fixed and "good as new!".

Little Porsche (Miss Personality) will need your hugs and prayers. We noticed she was having some issues when we attempted to wean the litter to solids, took her in to a specialist who diagnosed her with PRAA (Persistent Right Aortic Arch). Not a genetic condition, but an anomoly that just happens (congenital). She may act just fine, but without repairing this condition, she will slowly fade due to not being able to eat and grow like a normal puppy. Bryan and I are currently hand feedng her small amounts of "mush" every 2-3 hours. We love her so much already and want to give her all the opportunity to thrive and a chance at a long, healthy life. We knew from the beginning she was meant for bigger things in this life, so here we go... she'll have surgery Thursday morning at CSU's state of the art Veterinary Hospital.
