Pug Partners of Nebraska What is Pug Partners of Nebraska? Pug Partners of Nebraska is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing and re-homing purebred pugs

Mission
Pug Partners of Nebraska is a 501c3, non-profit organization comprised of dedicated volunteers who are committed to rescuing and re-homing pugs in need. We believe that all pugs deserve a chance to be loved and to love a human companion. A majority of our rescue pugs come from what is called a puppy mill (a mass breeding facility), we are very dedicated to these special dogs and providing

them with the life they deserve. Our main purpose is to provide all of our rescue pugs with a loving foster home, quality dog food, medical care, and any other need that they may have while in our care. Our ultimate goal is to place each pug into a forever family that will continue to show the pug love, attention, and provide the care that they each deserve. We strive to educate our adopters and the public about our wonderful pug breed. Although pugs are quite different from most breeds, we want to show people how amazing these small dogs can be, and how they are great companions. Vision Statement

Pug Partners of Nebraska provides a service to the community for pugs in need, by rescuing purebred pugs that are in shelters, puppy mills, whose owners can no longer care for them, and for those who have become lost/abandoned and to place them in a loving and safe permanent home where they will be loved and cared for as companion pets. Meet Birdie
🐾 7 years old | Pug | Fostered in Iowa

Birdie is a tiny, wrinkly bundle of sweetness who’s just beginning to discover what it means to be loved. After years in a commercial breeding facility, she’s finally getting her fresh start. Now she’s ready to find a forever home that will show her the world is safe, soft, and full of treats.

Birdie is the kind of dog who speaks in whispers. She’s not going to barrel into your lap or beg for belly rubs on day one, but give her a little time and a quiet space, and she’ll reward you with the most tender moments: gentle tail wags, shy nuzzles, and the soft weight of trust resting by your side.

She’s a classic pug through and through. Easygoing, soulful, and perfectly content just being near her people (especially if she can curl up in a cozy blanket). She’s not a barker or a wild child, just a calm little companion with a heart full of hope. She does great with other dogs in her foster home and seems happiest when things are low-key and predictable. Playfulness may come in time, but for now, she’s a sweet, quiet shadow.

Birdie is spayed, has had a full dental, and is up-to-date on all her care. She’s truly ready for her second chance.

If you know the joy of a snoring pug on your lap, or if you've ever fallen for those big eyes and bigger heart, you might be the person Birdie’s been waiting for. She doesn't need much. Just patience, kindness, and a soft place to land.

Are you interested in adopting Birdie? Please visit our website and review our adoption procedures at: https://www.pugpartners.com/adoption-procedures. Birdie's minimum adoption donation is $275. Due to the high frequency of applicants, NOT ALL pre-screening emails will be responded to. PPN does not allow pugs to be shipped as cargo. For approved out-of-state adoptions requiring airfare, the pug must fit in an airline-approved carrier that can fit under the seat. Out-of-state adopters must arrange for transport; in some cases, we may have volunteers able to help.

Hi my name is Owen. It took me a couple of weeks to get comfortable in my foster home because I don’t see very well. I can see shadows in good light. Now that I am totally comfortable I like providing entertainment to my foster sister because I want her to play with me. I also provide extra laughs for my foster dad because he thinks I’m staring into space when I’m really listening to see what he is grabbing to eat. I don’t like to be locked up, I will try to do whatever I can to get out. I love to snuggles with my foster mom and foster sister. I’m learning that snuggles, pats and kisses are the best part of life. I get excited when it’s time for feeding, but my manners are getting better about waiting my turn. I’m pretty chill most of the time, but I do like to play tug o war. My foster mom also says I’m super smart because I have learned so fast on minding my manners and how to be loved. I think I would like to have another brother or sister around in my new home so I don’t get lonely.
