The IEA National Finals are being held this week at the National Equestrian Center in Lake St Louis. The high school students attending had previously qualified for Regionals, then some advanced to the Zone Championships and then the top 18 riders in nation in each category, made it to this week's National Finals. Kendahl qualified for the Varsity Open Huntseat Jumping class which competed this morning. Just before the class starts, the riders are randomly paired up with horses that they only get to ride in a one minute warm up over 2 jumps and then they go straight into the arena with several hundred people watching. .

She entered the class with confidence and did an awesome job, ending her freshman IEA season 6th in the nation. This video shows her ride on Ronnie.

It was a great year and we want to thank Terri Foreman for coaching the Commonwealth Equestrians team. Kendahl loved being part of the team this year. Special thanks to Bettina Guignon for training Kendahl how to understand what a horse needs and prepare her to effectively ride any horse.

Big weekend for Kendahl at the Interscholastic Equestrian Association Zone 5 Finals at Albion College. On Friday, she competed against the 13 top point winners from 12 regions and won the Varsity Open Championship. On Saturday, she competed in the Varsity Open Equitation Over Fences and was Reserve Champion which earns her spot to compete in the IEA National Championship next month. We couldn't be more proud of Kendahl and all the hard work and the great training from Bettina, has paid off with excellent results. Special thanks to Terri Foreman for inviting Kendahl to the team and for all her hard work coaching Commonwealth Equestrians.

Kingston is back! After almost 6 months of taking tender loving care, the big guy gets to start doing what he loves, showing. Beth and Kendahl did a great job easing Kingston back and getting him fit and ready to show. Thanks to Bettina for helping us understand what he needs. Here is a video of one of his classes this weekend during the Prime Time schooling show at the National Equestrian Center. We are so grateful to achieve this milestone and can't wait to see what the future holds for Kingston.

It wouldn't be possible without Bettina's training. Big thanks to Terri Foreman for inviting Kendahl to join her team. One more weekend to be able to qualify for regionals. Good luck, Kendahl.

Our latest addition to the high quality hunter line up is Rammstein (Rufus), a 17 hand Oldenburg. Rufus had a career in dressage with Natalie Hammond, scoring as high as 77 in 3rd level, and has recently moved to try his hand as a Hunter. Bettina has done an amazing job with Rufus and absolutely loves this horse. We expect to have him start showing early in 2025. We can't wait to see how he will do. Here he is flatting.
