Cabin Fever Terry's Fork 2026 was an amazing success! Perfect weather brought out Floyd County animal lovers near and far. Fabulous music, excellent food, and lots of dogs jumping in the creek made this day very special. Thanks to all our volunteers,, the musicians and of course Robin Maddox and Whitney Webb Maddox for their continued generosity.

Sonny and Velma spent over a year in the shelter system waiting for their family to come save them.

Their new home has given them unconditional love, support, and care. They truly treasure Velma and Sonny, and we couldn’t be more emotional for the happy ending to their uncertain and traumatic past.

Thank you to Velma and Sonny’s family for giving them the chance to live the rest of their lives with stability, compassion, and understanding.

Mountain View Humane is offering a spay/neuter transport to and from our clinic on June 8th — and spots are limited! This transport is open to residents of Floyd County and is for CATS ONLY.

Lady is a 9-year-old German Shepherd looking for a new home to spend her golden years. She’s a sweet, well-mannered girl who loves people and does great with kids and other dogs.

🐶 9 years old, female, spayed
⚖️ 67 lbs
🦮 Walks beautifully on a leash — no pulling
🏡 Fully potty trained
🪜 Can easily manage stairs
❤️ Great with children and other dogs
🐄 Has been around chickens and cows, but would do best with careful supervision around livestock and cats
💉 Up to date on vaccines

Join us for Cabin Fever 2026 on Saturday, May 30th.

Gates open at 11:00 rain or shine, Live music begins at 11:30. Admission is only $10, kids under 15 free.

We will have a large buffet with a wide variety of dishes centered around the world class barbecue provided by long time friend, Hamp Maxwell. The price of the buffet is $10 per person. Please consider bringing a dish to contribute to the cause.

All proceeds from admissions, donations, food, shirts, merchandise, and auction items are donated directly to Floyd County Humane Society for their new facility fund.
