🎉🐴IEA CAMP🐴🎉

And just like that, 6 weeks of summer camp done! We had a blast with our IEA campers this past week! Tons of riding and working on their equitation to prepare for this season! They also learned how to pull manes, wrap legs, and of course polish their boots!

We are so excited for a new year of IEA, it is such a cool program that provides great opportunities to travel and show! And they learn so much about horsemanship since they are responsible for the care of our wonderful lesson horses at these shows!

If you are interested in joining a team this year, please reach out to Meghan or Brittany! Riders must be at least 9 years old and in the 4th grade. You don’t even need a horse to compete! We coach three teams:

🏆 Sweet Pea is the best at teaching riders how to steer! He also has a very smooth trot, which makes him great for teaching the sitting trot and is a favorite for ba****ck. Since his shoulders don’t move very much at the trot, we use him to test riders on their ability to see their diagonal. With his unique coloring (blue roan), he stands out in the ring, which has led him to many victories with our riders. He is also often horse of the day and a favorite for IEA.

We had so much fun hosting our School’s Out Summer Show this past weekend! We had several riders making their show debuts and many others sharpening their skills to get ready to head off to Tryon next week! It was a hot one, but everyone rode great🏆🎉🐴

We believe it’s so important to have these farm shows to give our new riders a chance to see what showing is all about!

Big thank you to Ashley Fant for judging! She did a fantastic job and took the time to speak to our walk/trot riders in their lineup!

🎉🐴CAMP 5🐴🎉

BIGGEST WEEK OF THE SUMMER AND SO MUCH FUN! They loved pony painting day and were super talented on the diving board! We are so proud of how much they learned!

Big thank you to our counselors, this was a big group of kids and y’all were such a huge help! We could not do it without you! These kids look up to you and will always remember you as being a part of sparking their love for horses! Thank you!!!

This was our final week of regular summer camp, so now it’s time for IEA CAMP! Woohoo!!

Junior Hunter Finals 2025 was one to remember!

🏆Ballentine’s F and Christine Moody were 4th in the Classic and 3rd in the handy, earning them 6th overall in the Large 3’6” 16-17 section!
🏆Kaboom Blue and Emma Britzke had a beautiful handy trip today, placing 14th in the Small 3’3” 15 and Under section!
🏆MTM Figurative and Hayden Moody got better and better each time they entered the ring, putting in solid rounds in the Large 3’3” 15 and Under section!

We are so proud of these girls and their fabulous horses! This was Emma and Hayden’s first year at JHF (their horses too!), and Christine and Bali achieved their personal best this time around!

Looking forward to spending the rest of the summer showing at Tryon and WEC Ocala!

Winterview Farm had a great weekend back in Canton for the MHJA New Year Premier! We are so thrilled to be back at our old stomping grounds! It was a beautiful weekend filled with great rides and lots of fun!

A few highlights include:
⭐️Anne Moody and MTM Gift of Gab won the $2,000 Mercedes-Benz of Jackson Hunter Derby! This pair also won the $500 Cadence Bank Hunter Classic and earned champion in the children’s hunter division. Anne was also 3rd in the derby on MTM Heartbreak Prince
⭐️Hayden Moody and MTM Top Gun won the $500 Jumper Classic sponsored by The Club At The Township! They were also champion of the child/adult jumper division
⭐️Christine Moody and MTM Honey Bee were champion of the junior hunters! They were also 2nd in the derby
⭐️Chloe Palato and MTM Unlimited topped the pre-adult equitation with a 🥇 over fences!
⭐️Gigi Adams and Luminary were 1st and 2nd in the 15-17 equitation! Gigi was also 2nd in the $500 Cline Tours Equitation Challenge and 8th in the derby
⭐️Emme Skinner rode her new horse, Sergeant at Arms, to champion of the short stirrup hunter division! They were also 5th in the derby
⭐️Selah Jones and Holding the Dream swept the long stirrup hunter and equitation divisions, earning champion!
⭐️Molly McGuffie and The Whole Enchilada were the winners of the 2’ mini medal and the short stirrup equitation!
⭐️Adelynn Southerland and Dream Catcher earned champion in 3 divisions!
⭐️Holly Ware and Cruisin’ By Moonlight stepped up a division and got great ribbons!
⭐️Emma Papadimitriou and Honest Abe were reserve champion in the walk trot canter division!
⭐️Cara Tsiouris and Wizard of Roz got great ribbons in the walk trot canter and competed in the canter crossrails for the first time!
⭐️Meryl Bearden and Honor Society competed at their first “real” show and had great trips in the pre-child hunter!
⭐️Florence Bearden and Gayfield’s Class Pet were reserve champions of the short stirrup and won the 11 & under flat!
⭐️Ella Wilson and Jump in the Line were reserve champion of the 0.65 jumper division!
⭐️Vivian Parker’s Charming topped the green hunter division with great rounds!
⭐️Emma Britzke and Kaboom Blue laid down super trips in the 3’3” junior hunters!
