Today’s Harvest at Jubilee

There’s nothing like the joy of gathering fresh produce straight from the garden! This morning’s harvest blessed us with:

Sweet 🫑 bell peppers
Squash
Zucchini
🥒 cucumbers

Grateful for the sunshine, soil, and a little hard work. 🌱

Teaching the next generation how to plant butter beans – one row, one seed, one lesson at a time.

Happening now! Coach Mel, Andre, and Ashton Griffin are out farming on this hawt (HOT) afternoon.

We’re not just in the garden but our team is working on passing knowledge, values, skills and the deep pride in growing your own food.

Under the heat of the sun, our young farmer, Ashton is learning the rhythm of the land; and what it means to build wealth and health that lasts.

This is how generational wealth is grown and not just in dollars, but in legacy, and love for the land. 🌱

Gardeners Unite at Jubilee Farm! 🌿

We were deeply honored to welcome a wonderful group of gardeners and green thumbs who came out to support Jubilee Community Garden this week! 💪🌱

Their hands brought energy, their tools brought care, and their hearts brought so much love to our farm. From weeding and planting to harvesting alongside our youth, every action made a difference.

Community gardening is about more than just growing food and it’s about growing together. Thank you to everyone who showed up, shared your time and wisdom, and helped our soil, and our spirits, to thrive. 💚

🌱 How Kids Feel When They Arrive at Jubilee Farm 🌞

The moment they step onto the soil at Jubilee Farm, kids light up!!

✨ Curious – Eyes wide, they look around at the rows of vegetables, buzzing bees, and colorful flowers. Many have never seen food growing right from the ground before!

✨ Excited – There’s a spark in their step as they head to the garden beds—eager to dig, water, and discover what’s ready to pick. “Can I pick that one?” is one of the first things we hear!

✨ Empowered – As they pull up a carrot or harvest a tomato they planted weeks ago, something shifts. They feel proud. They see that their hands can grow something real and good.

✨ Connected – Whether they’re laughing with friends, learning from a garden leader, or tasting herbs for the first time, they feel part of something bigger—something that matters.

At Jubilee, we don’t just grow food—we grow confidence, joy, and community. 🌿

Harvest Day at Jubilee Farm! 🍓🥬🌻

Today was a beautiful day at Jubilee Community Garden as a group of amazing young people came out to harvest the fruits (and veggies!) of their hard work! 🌿💪

From fresh tomatoes and sweet peppers to juicy berries and leafy greens, our youth got their hands in the soil and experienced the joy of growing and gathering their own food. 🫑

We love seeing the next generation learning about healthy eating, sustainability, and the power of community. ❤️ Huge thanks to Mrs. Ada Robinson, Coach Mel and everyone who made this day special—and to all our volunteers and supporters who keep Jubilee growing strong!

We’ve got some new family members on the farm!

Two new goats just joined the family, and we couldn’t be more excited. They’re already full of personality and settling in nicely.
