🐾 Happy National Rescue Dog Day! 🐾

Today we celebrate the love, joy, and companionship rescue dogs bring into our lives. Here Princess is enjoying some playtime in the yard with one of our amazing volunteers. Princess is a 3-year-old Boxer looking for a forever family. She has lots of love to give!

Adoption changes lives, and even sharing a post can help a rescue dog find their forever home. If you’re not ready to adopt, volunteering, and donating are wonderful ways to support local shelters and rescues.

National Pet Week is one of our favorite times of the year—because who doesn’t love an excuse to spoil their furry (or scaly, or feathery) companion with a little extra love?

Celebrated during the first full week of May, it’s all about honoring the special bond between pets and their people. While we all adore our pets, this week is also a great reminder to make sure we’re giving them everything they need to live long, happy lives.

Looking for ways to celebrate? Here are a few ideas:
Share your pet’s story and cute photos using
Check that your pet’s care—like vet visits and grooming—is up to date
Donate to or volunteer at a local shelter
Consider adoption if you’re ready to welcome a new friend

During Second Chances Week, we’re celebrating pets like Eenie who are ready for a fresh start and a place to call home.

Eenie is an handsome 2-year-old male cat searching for his forever family —and he’s ready to charm his way right into your heart. This sleek black kitty is full of personality: playful, curious, and always up for a little adventure.

He loves chasing the laser light, batting around his favorite toys, and climbing to the top of the cat tree to show off his skills. One of his favorite things is perching up high to keep an eye on everything going on around him.

Give Eenie the second chance he deserves and gain a loyal, fun-loving companion in return.

Gibbs is a 7-year-old St. Bernard/Boxer mix. From the moment you meet Gibbs, you can’t help but smile. This happy boy greets the world with a wagging tail and eyes full of joy—because in Gibbs’ world, every person is just a friend he hasn’t snuggled yet.

Gibbs is all about his people. Whether he’s zooming around the yard or curling up for a well-earned nap, he’s happiest when he’s close to someone he loves. He’s hoping for a home with a securely fenced yard where he can safely stretch his legs and play, and a family who won’t leave him alone for long stretches of time. He would prefer to be your one-and-only dog so he can soak up all the love and attention he’s been waiting for.

Gibbs has been with us longer than we’d like, but we know his forever family is out there—and Second Chances Week might just be his moment.
