With a heart full of bitter sweet emotions i am sad and excited to share that August will be my last month grooming for all of you. My husband has taken a leap thats taking our little family to Sunny Tampa Florida! Willows smile says it all lol a little happy a little holy hell whats going on?! 🤣
It breaks my heart to say Goodbye to all of you, my heart has always been so full thanks to being able to love each of you and your dogs. Ive grown with each one of you, many of you have laughed with me, some have cried with me and have been there to overcome many hurdles. From building my little following, to relocating my business, you ALL put me through major growing pains because you all have shared my name beyond my abilites ;), to the covid shut down, followed by back surgery just a few months after reopening! Goodness its been a trip and you have all stood by me the entire time. For that i cannot thank you enough!
I am excited to have the opportunity to follow another of our big dreams and see where this next journey takes us. With that i hope that even across the distance we can stay in touch as so many of you have become so much more than clients but friends and confidantes ❤

With this news many have asked to meet up one more time before I officially leave which makes me incredibly happy! Im thinkng maybe I can plan a little send off somewhere local where you all can pop in and celebrate (or give me hell for leaving 😉). If thats something you might be interested in comment or send me a quick text/message.
Love ya'll so very much and thank you again for a Journey i will cherish forever!

Hello! Hello!
Poping in for a quick update/reminder. I have recently had a rise in messages and calls for new clients seeking services.

For any one seeking my services at this time i am not accepting new pups. Feel free to touch base with me i will gladly add you to my waitlist!

Please keep in mind (potential and current clients) that if I have room for new pups I will not be accepting any that are large breeds. I am still struggling with the bending and lifting that the large pups require so i have made the decision to make major cut backs to my current large dog clients in an effort to work towards exclusively grooming medium-small size dogs.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and a Hoppy Easter 🐣

👋Hello hello! 👋

Some may of heard and others may not of but i am "back to work". At this time I am only doing what my body (and my doctor) allows. I tested the waters this last week with 2-3 small pups a day and that seems to be right where my threshold is. After a few hours of grooming my back and hips start "singing" lol!

As of right now I am sticking with that routine until I physically can handle more time on my feet. At this time with everyone that scheduled in advance and with somw adjusting I am at 3 small dogs a day through March
As I continue heal and am ready to take on more i will contact those with small dogs that did not previously book for march. Please patient, im doing the best i can within the bounds of my limitations.
Thank you for everything! Slowly but surely this busy body groomer will have her busy body back full force!!

For those with the big pups and the big not so easy pups:
Sadly with this surgery theres a very high probability that it will not be my last especially considering my line of work. Now more than ever, i need to take care of my body in order to continue grooming for hopefully many more years but to also continue working towards my numerous goals as well as enjoying all this life has to offer for as long as my body and will power will allow. I have so many passions outside of my work and im not to point that my love for my work can come before all else.
So It has put me in the position where I've had to make the tough decision to severely cut down on the amount of large and large special needs (some will say difficult) pups that i do going forward once i am released from "light duty".. It breaks my heart because so many of these dogs have been with me for years. 😔 I beg for your understanding. Maybe someday I'll get back to doing all the big and difficults if I'm ever in the position to have help, i just cannot do them alone anymore. Thank you for many wonderful years, i hope someday our paths can cross again❤

I cannot Thank every one of you enough for your well wishes, thoughts and prayers! I am home and doing as well as can be expected ❤ I couldnt imaging going through this without all the support and love that I've had from not just my family and my friends but from every single client thats been behind me through this. Again, thank you so very much!

Hey this is Chelsea's husband Justin, she asked me to update everyone on how she is doing. She is out of surgery, everything went good and as planned with no issues. She is currently in her room for the night, hopefully to be released tomorrow. Thank you to everyone for the thoughts, wishes and prayers.

Good morning! A not so exciting but a very nessisary announcement.

Please do not wait to get in with these ladies, they will surely fill up fast. I know some will choose to wait on me which is fine with one exception. I will not be able to come back and groom everyone right away thats waited out my recovery time. I am so flattered that you feel that way and I love each and every one of your pups but as much as i would love and try to do that, i am just one girl with almost 200 regular pups under my care. Katie and Kaylyn will take wonderful care of your pup if you choose to book with them during my time off. They both know they can call me for my notes on your babes so even though their grooming style will show, your pup will look similar to what i would typically do ❤

I will continue as normal until Dec 31st. I will miss seeing and chatting with you all and will keep facebook updated on my recovery and progress because i am very aware that i have the most wonderful caring and concerned clients around ;). I think thats what makes this hard, its not the surgery or the healing. Its the time away from you all!

I hope you all have an absolutely wonderful Christmas and A Happy New Year!

Removing the orginal link until i can do more research..

Hello and good morning!
I know so many of you use the Seresto flea and tick collars to protect your pets. I wanted to share this deal that i came across this morning. If you need a new collar, now is the time to get it. I have been seeing fleas on ALOT of dogs this last month, so this is also a friendly reminder to protect your pet and remind everyone that i am a home based business so fleas are not tolerated. If your pet has fleas i will take care of them 1 time, if they return with fleas at their next apt you will be required to reschedule. Chewy.com and Amazon.com both have the collars on sale, sadly not for the price that the orginal website had but I would hate for anyone to buy something that wasnt rhe real deal, good deal or not!

**Ps. I did a quick search to see if you could stock up on this deal. I found that the Collars are good for 5yrs from the manufacturer date as long as the collar remains unopened!

Shop Chewy for the best pet supplies ranging from pet food, toys and treats to litter, aquariums, and pet supplements plus so much more! If you have a pet-or soon will-you've come to the right place. GOOD MORNING!! I have mentioned to a few of you that i am not accepting bookings for next year yet because of some changes i am bringing in. Today alot of you will (if you havent already) recieved a message asking to fill out my new intake form. This is not spam or a scam. It is from my new system from MoeGo, they are another step up from my current system. You'll notice you can now message back to the number that all texts are coming from. (Pretty nifty ;) )
Anyways Thank you for taking the time to fill out the form!

Hello hello!
How is everyone? As good as can be I hope? Or as well as can be - this year kinda stinks as im sure many of you can agree!?!
For over almost two weeks now I've been toying with how I was going to go about sharing the latest news on this ongoing back problem ive been dealing with this month. Most importantly above all else I was scared to alarm you guys but sadly I cant keep putting it off.

Two weeks ago a client/friend/amazing soul heard and actually listened to my cries for answers and found the root of my problem. Doctors over the years have just brushed off the pain as "pulled muscles" so for many years (close to 13-14yrs) I've had back pain and just dealt with it but only recently did it become incapacitating.

With that said my xrays show signs of Degenerative Disc Disease in my low back. This freaked me out quite a bit, ive been vmad, ive cried, ive let myself feel defeated (this was a first) and wanted to give up because how am i supposed to do a physically demanding job day in and out with this kind of back pain? And i refuse to live on pain meds. With physical therapy, massages, and lots and lots of stretching yesterday was my very first day waking up and being able to get myself dressed almost pain free - heres to hoping its not short lived 🤞

What that means for Pawlished Paws - im doing what i can within reason. The way i see it is if i do what i shouldnt and it puts me out of work again then everyone is out of luck and im in horrible pain again. If i do the dogs that i know i am capable of then atleast some are getting cared for instead of none at all. There are a few dogs i still have not rescheduled for one reason or another. Either because they are that inbetween size that require a lot of lifting/bending or because they are ones that tend to move/jerk/pull away alot. My game plan is to go day to day with what is already on my schedule, and see how each day feels and how well each dog and i work together and go from there.

This really is the year of change and adaptation isnt it?!....

I know some of you will ask if you can do the lifting for me, to stay and help with your dogs groom. Sadly the answer is No. I cannot legally have anyone "helping" in the shop that does not live in our home. This is one of the rules that were set in place when i went in front of the city to get my approval to have a home based business. Its also due in part because of insurance as well. My floors can be slippery most days and I cannot risk injury to a client for the sake of a groom. I appreciate the loyalty and the willingness to help but im sure you can understand my reluctance to allow outside help ❤

I appreciate you all! Your kind words, your thoughtfulness and your patience! This is yet another bump in the road of this crazy roller coaster of a year.
