Rescue Riders is an equine and farm animal rescue for neglected or unwanted equines and other animals found on a farm. The oak shaded pastures, with lush green grass are a dream come true to most of our horses. Our animals are first rehabbed back to health. The loving team of equine and farm professionals then decide if the animal is eligible for adoption or will stay on a permanent spa-cation at Rescue Riders facility. 🐷❤️ THIS BIG OL’ BOY NEEDS A FOREVER HOME! ❤️🐷

Y’all, we’re trying to help find a loving home for this handsome big boy, and we sure could use your help! 🐽❤️

This fella has been somebody’s pet, but sadly, his previous owner no longer wants him. Now he needs someone with a big heart and a little extra room to give him the forever home he deserves.

🐷 A little about this handsome boy:

🐾 Approximately 2–3 years old (we’re working on confirming his age with his previous owner).

🐾 He is a BIG boy!

🐾 He is NOT neutered.

🐾 He has been raised as a pet.

🐾 Located in Grant-Valkaria, FL.

❤️ Just because someone no longer wants an animal doesn’t mean that animal stops deserving love.

This big boy didn’t ask for his world to change, and we’re hoping there’s someone out there who will give him a safe place to land, a full belly, and a lifetime of kindness.

We are looking for someone who understands pigs, has proper fencing, and will give him a loving, permanent home.

Update on the puppies: Ok I’ve made it official we have a foster fail but is it really a fail? I think it’s a wonderful success!
🐶🐶Well I don’t know about yall but I think that is great! Meet Poppy and Lilly yall. They have found their forever home. Who doesn’t love a happy ending. ❤️.
I kinda knew if Vicky took her home she would never leave. We are very thankful to you Vicky for all your help around the farm with the horses, your donations and now you being a foster success story!

🐾❤️ TWO ADOPTED, ONE FOSTERED… AND MAYBE A FOSTER FAIL! ❤️🐾

Well, y’all, we’ve got some happy puppy news to share here at Rescue Riders! 🐶💕

Remember those three precious little puppies that came to us needing homes? Well, TWO have officially found their forever families, and our third little sweetheart is being fostered right alongside her sister! 🥹❤️

💕 A HUGE Southern thank you to Miss Vicky! Not only did she open her heart and home to adopt one of these sweet babies, but she also took in her sister to foster until we find her a forever home. Now, truth be told, I’m secretly hoping we have ourselves a FOSTER FAIL! 🤣❤️🐾 I mean, how could you possibly separate those two sweet faces?!

💕 Another big thank you to Jonathan and his mom for opening their hearts and home to puppy number two! Knowing this sweet baby will be loved and spoiled makes our hearts so happy!

This right here is what rescue is all about, y’all. It’s about folks stepping up, opening their hearts, and giving these innocent little souls the love and second chances they deserve.

We couldn’t do what we do without people like y’all. From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU for being part of their happy endings! ❤️

🐴❤️ THREE RESCUES, ONE MISSION, AND ONE VERY LUCKY LITTLE DONKEY! ❤️🐴

Y’all, we have some exciting news here at Rescue Riders Horse Rescue! We have a new little fella joining our family, and his name is Jackson! 🫏❤️

But this sweet boy’s story is about so much more than just finding a forever home. It’s about what happens when rescues come together, put the animals first, and work as a team! ❤️

Jackson is a precious 7-year-old miniature donkey whose previous family could no longer care for him. Thankfully, Sunny Side Up Rescue, Inc. stepped up, got him to safety, made sure he received some veterinary care, and began searching for his forever home.

Now, as many of y’all know, our sweet Cletus has been needing a donkey buddy of his very own. We have been searching for just the right companion, and when Jackson’s story was shared, Rescue Riders was tagged. Sometimes things just fall into place exactly the way they’re supposed to! ❤️

That’s where another wonderful rescue stepped in! Harry’s Hidden Acres Sanctuary offered to help transport Jackson from Sunny Side Up Rescue to his new forever home here at Rescue Riders! They are also helping make arrangements for Jackson to be gelded once he settles in.

THREE RESCUES. THREE BIG HEARTS. ONE COMMON GOAL. ❤️🐴🫏

And that, my friends, is what rescue is supposed to be about!

We may all have different names on our gates, different animals in our pastures, and different struggles behind the scenes, but at the end of the day, we are all fighting for the same thing — giving animals a better life.

Rescue work isn’t always easy. It takes money, time, tears, sleepless nights, and a whole lot of heart. But when we stop worrying about who gets the credit and start working together, just imagine how many more lives we can save!

There is no competition when the mission is compassion. ❤️

We want to give a heartfelt THANK YOU to Sunny Side Up Rescue, Inc. for stepping up for Jackson and to Harry’s Hidden Acres Sanctuary for helping get this sweet boy safely to us. We are beyond grateful to have been part of this beautiful team effort.

🐴❤️ WHEW, WHAT A BUSY & BLESSED WEEKEND AT RESCUE RIDERS! ❤️🐴

Y’all, we had ourselves one busy weekend here at the farm, but goodness gracious, was it a wonderful one! Our hearts are full, our animals are happy, and we are beyond thankful for the amazing folks who showed up and rolled up their sleeves to help! ❤️

🌻 First off, we want to give a BIG ol’ Southern welcome to our three new volunteers, Miss Donna, her daughter Alexia, and Miss Martha! We were so happy to have y’all join our Rescue Riders family!

And of course, our wonderful Rhonda, Miss Loretta, and Miss Vicky were right there helping us get things done! 💕

🐴 Just look at what all we accomplished!

🐾 Got that barn cleaned up!

💦 Scrubbed and cleaned the water troughs and made sure every single critter had fresh water!

🛁 Gave Wh***ey, Thunder, and Apache some much-needed baths!

❤️ Got those pesky itchy spots treated so our babies could get some relief!

And if that wasn’t enough excitement, we had THREE precious little 8-week-old Havanese/Chihuahua mix puppies brought to us to help find their forever homes! 🐶💕 All three are little girls and cute as buttons!

One sweet baby found her forever home yesterday, and another is heading home today! Once our next adopter picks out her little girl, we will post pictures of the last precious baby still looking for a family to love her. 🐾❤️

🎟️ AND Y’ALL, WE EVEN HAD A LITTLE LUCK COME OUR WAY!

A few of us took a little trip over to ’s Hidden Acres for their open house to show some support and purchase a few raffle tickets.

Well, would you believe we WON?! 🎉

We won TWO dental floats from Miss Brittany Penny! 🦷🐴

That means TWO of our rescue horses will be getting their much-needed dental care taken care of! Y’all have no idea what a blessing that is to a rescue! We are tickled pink and so incredibly grateful! ❤️

🌻 TO OUR VOLUNTEERS — THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF OUR HEARTS! 🌻

Folks sometimes see the happy horses, clean barns, and smiling faces, but what they don’t always see is the hard work, the sweat, the dirty boots, the aching backs, and the love that goes into caring for these animals every single day.

Every water bucket filled, every stall cleaned, every horse bathed, and every helping hand makes a difference.

We may be the ones rescuing these animals, but Lord knows, they have a way of rescuing us right back. ❤️

We couldn’t do what we do without our volunteers, our supporters, and this beautiful little community that continues to show up for the animals who need us most.

It takes a village, y’all, and we sure are blessed with a mighty good one! 🐴❤️

🐴❤️ A LITTLE POSSUM, A BIG LESSON, AND PROTECTING OUR HORSES! 🐾

Well, y’all, we had ourselves a little visitor at Rescue Riders! 🐾

We caught a young opossum in one of our traps, and while he sure was a cute little fella, we knew he couldn’t stay around our horses. So we took him to a grove away from the rescue and released him unharmed.

Now, some folks might wonder why we’re so concerned about a little ol’ possum. Well, let me share something important with y’all!

🐴 Opossums can carry a parasite that causes EPM (Equine Protozoal Myeloencephalitis) in horses.

EPM is a serious neurological disease that affects a horse’s brain and spinal cord. It can cause:

🐴 Loss of coordination and stumbling

🐴 Muscle weakness and muscle loss

🐴 Difficulty walking or standing

🐴 In severe cases, permanent neurological damage

Here’s something every horse owner should know!

Opossums can shed the parasite Sarcocystis neurona in their f***s. When those droppings contaminate hay, grain, pasture, or water, horses can accidentally ingest the parasite and become infected.

It’s not possum urine that spreads EPM — it’s their f***s! And while exposure doesn’t mean a horse will develop EPM, it’s a risk we take seriously.

❤️ Here at Rescue Riders, we love ALL God’s creatures, even the little wild ones! Opossums actually do a lot of good for our environment, and we certainly don’t wish them any harm.

But with our precious senior horses, some already facing health challenges, we do everything we can to keep their home safe.

Sometimes loving animals means protecting one while protecting another. ❤️

Stay safe, little possum. You’ve got a whole lot of exploring to do, just not in our barn! 🐾

🤠👢 HAPPY NATIONAL COWBOY BOOT DAY! 👢🤠

Around here, cowboy boots ain’t just something you wear for looks… they’re work boots with a little Southern sass! 😂

They’ve walked through mud, manure, rain, sunshine, and probably stepped in things we’re better off not talking about. 🤦‍♀️🤣 They’ve stood in stalls, chased chickens, fed horses, cleaned troughs, fixed fences, and loved on a whole lotta animals.

And let me tell ya… there’s just something about pulling on a pair of cowboy boots and heading out to the barn. ❤️🐴

They may get dirty, but that just means they’re doing their job.

So grab your boots, tip your hat, and go love on something that needs you today. ❤️

Y’all… I’m about to tell you something, and I know I ain’t the only one thinking it…

I AM SO DOGGONE TIRED OF THIS RAIN. 🌧️🙄

I mean, bless it. We have had enough water to float the whole dang county. 😂 And just when you think maybe, just maybe, the ground might dry out enough to walk across it without sinking up to your ankles…

Here comes MORE.

Lord, have mercy. 😩

Around here, rain ain’t just rain. It’s mud up to your knees, boots that weigh 10 pounds, wet hay, soggy feed, muddy pens, slick walkways, standing water, and animals looking at you like YOU personally ordered the weather. 😂🐴🐐🐓

You spend half the day trying to keep everybody dry, clean, fed and comfortable, only to turn around and realize you’re covered in mud from head to toe.

At this point, I don’t need an umbrella.

I need Noah to come pick me up. 😂🚢

I’m ready for some good old-fashioned Southern sunshine. ☀️
I want dry dirt.
I want dusty boots instead of muddy ones.
I want to walk across this farm without wondering if I’m about to lose a boot to the Georgia clay. 😂

So, Lord… we’ve had our share.

You can turn the faucet off now. We’re good. Really. We’ve got enough. 🙏😂☀️

Until then, we’ll keep on keeping on, because that’s what we do. We’ll take care of these babies, stomp through the mud, complain a little (okay… maybe A LOT 😂), and pray for sunshine.

Because this Southern girl is ready to see some blue sky! 💙☀️🐴❤️
