Rescue Riders

Rescue Riders Horse rescue/sanctuary and horseback riding lessons. We are located in the great state of Florida, in the peaceful cowboy town of Fellesmere.

Rescue Riders is an equine and farm animal rescue for neglected or unwanted equines and other animals found on a farm. The oak shaded pastures, with lush green grass are a dream come true to most of our horses. Our animals are first rehabbed back to health. The loving team of equine and farm professionals then decide if the animal is eligible for adoption or will stay on a permanent spa-cation at Rescue Riders facility. Have a happy new year from all of us at Rescue Riders!! Be safe and make sure to call someone if you need a ride home! Shoot if your local call me! We will be here keeping a watchful eye on all our animals and praying the people shooting off fireworks and their guns don’t do it all night. Stay warm! Thank you all for all your support this year it didnt go unnoticed. Here is to 2026 and the great things it is gonna bring.

Today was a good day Kerri and myself cleaned the barn. Miss Loretta cleaned tons of waters. Miss Kerri cleaned a couple troughs and a few water buckets. Anddd we had a special visitor from my past. A girl I knew from my homestead days that we used to be at the same barn and ride together. Marcy Habeil formerly Marcy Rice came to visit and brought two of her kiddos. We got to catch up and introduce them to all the animals in the farm. I put Marcy right to work lol thanks for the help today everyone!!!

Our Story

We teach young riders the skills needed to work with a 1000 pound companion with a mind of it's own. In the process, they develop self confidence, team work, assertiveness, planning ability, and many other skills that will last them a lifetime. We give kids the opportunity to develop on our farm and enjoy the great companionship of other horse loving young people. We rescue unwanted horses, rehabilitate them, and let them have a job helping kids grow up. We provide a safe haven for neglected horses.
