Eliana is a little bundle of love wrapped in a sweet, snuggly package. She's yet to meet a stranger, as she loves people and pooches! Don’t let the cuddles fool you though, Eliana also has an adventurous side! She loves exploring, sniffing all the good smells, and tagging along for fun outings.

Eliana’s easygoing vibe makes her apartment-friendly 🏢✨ and a great match for anyone looking for a happy, loving companion. If your home is missing some joy, wiggles, and nonstop affection… Eliana is ready to move in! 🏡💞🐾

Their daycare friends all get picked up at the end of the day while Eliana, Mira, and Tiff come back to the shelter. They’re dog-friendly, social, and ready for families of their own. Maybe it’s time someone came to pick them up for good. ❤️

Meet them at FAPS: Wed–Fri 1-5P & Saturday 11A-5P

The animal rescue world lost a beautiful soul.
LPAH has a few animals in need of short term (2 week) fosters without other animals. Please reach out if you’re able!

It is with a very heavy heart that we share the sad news that our fearless lead and founder of LPAH, Mary has passed away.

Mary was an incredible force for animals and made a lasting impact on rescue efforts throughout Lee County, NC. Her dedication, compassion, and tireless work helped save countless lives. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her and worked alongside her.

We are committed to continuing LPAH that Mary and her husband, Ed worked so hard to build. We believe the best way to honor her legacy is to carry on the mission she cared so deeply about.

At this time, we are currently seeking two-week temporary foster homes with no other pets to help some of the animals Mary and Ed lovingly cared for. If you can open your home for just 14 days, please complete an application at LPAH.org/foster.

If you would like to donate in Mary’s memory, you can visit LPAH.org/donate.

Thank you for your continued support of the rescue during this difficult time.

Thank you for the love, patience, protection, treats, walks, rides, and endless dad jokes. We hope your day is filled with appreciation, relaxation, and plenty of tail wags!

30,000+ litter boxes scooped! Let’s give a HUGE thank you to longtime FAPS volunteer, Liz Hart! 🎉🐾

If you’ve ever stopped by the shelter on a Tuesday or Thursday morning, chances are you’ve seen Liz hard at work helping our animals.

Today, we had the honor of presenting her with the coveted Golden Scoop Award for an incredible milestone: 30,000 litter boxes scooped at FAPS! 🏆✨

That’s 30,000 acts of care, comfort, and dedication for the cats who have called FAPS home. Volunteers like Liz are the heart of our mission, and we are so grateful for the countless hours she has given to the animals in our care over the past 15+ years.

Thank you, Liz, for making a difference one scoop at a time! ❤️🐱
