In Loving Memory of Retired Howell Township Police K-9 Vito 🖤🐾

It is with great sadness that we learned of the passing of retired Howell Township Police K-9 Vito.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Sergeant Nicholas Bondarew, Vito's partner and handler, along with his family, friends, and all those whose lives were touched by this remarkable K-9 hero.

Vito faithfully served and protected our community with courage, loyalty, and dedication. His service will never be forgotten, and his legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

To honor K-9 Vito, we will be displaying a special tribute on The Hungry Puppy marquee throughout the week. If you pass by, please give a honk in his memory as a small gesture of respect and appreciation for a life devoted to service.

Our staff has also painted a memorial rock for Vito, which has been placed at the feet of Saint Francis in our Rainbow Bridge Park before it is permanently moved to our Memorial Rock Garden. It is our small way of honoring a dog who gave so much to his community.

Run free, K-9 Vito. Thank you for your service, your sacrifice, and your unwavering loyalty.

Rest easy, brave boy. We'll take it from here. 🌈🐾
