🐾 Gable’s 6 weeks are officially complete! 🐾
When Gable first joined us, the world could be a lot. New places, other dogs, unexpected sounds, and things happening around him could quickly turn into barking or reactive behavior.
Six weeks later, we’ve seen a dog who is much more thoughtful about what’s happening around him. He’s learned to check in with his handler, work through distractions, walk more calmly, and, perhaps most importantly, not feel like he has to respond to everything he sees.
That doesn’t mean Gable will never have a big reaction again. Real life doesn’t work that way. It means he now has more tools to work through those moments, and his family has a better understanding of how to help him when they happen.
Some of the biggest changes aren’t always the flashy ones. Sometimes it’s seeing a dog walk into a new environment, noticing something that would’ve bothered him before, and choosing to keep moving. ❤️
Gable, you’ve put in a lot of work these last six weeks, and we’re really proud of you.
Congratulations, Gable! We can’t wait to see you thrive in our Daycare Program. 🐶🎓❤️
