🦴 Wondering why your vet is flexing your horse’s leg during a lameness exam?
Flexion tests help pinpoint where discomfort is coming from by temporarily increasing pressure on specific joints or soft tissue structures. If lameness becomes more noticeable after flexing, it gives your vet clues about which area may be causing the problem.

It’s one of many tools we use to get closer to the why behind a horse’s uneven step.

🐴 Bots found during a gastroscope? You’re not alone. These pesky parasites can be more common than you think—and they don’t just live in the stomach.

Bot larvae (from Gasterophilus flies) attach to the lining of the stomach and can cause irritation, ulcers, and discomfort. Routine deworming and strategic parasite control are key to prevention, but scoping can give us a clearer picture of what’s really going on inside.
