Daisy (A127353) is a 3-year-old pit mix who weighed over 70 lbs at intake!
08/22/25 Daisy has arrived back at the shelter because her most recent owner was not having any luck rehoming her on their own. Daisy really likes to chew and will resort to chewing things she shouldn't if not provided with enough engaging and appropriate chew toys. She was said to get along with the other dog in the home, even sleeping together. However, at times, Daisy would startle awake and jump on the other dog, which the older dog did not tolerate well. She was described as having a rough play style but to be outgoing and friendly. Daisy will sometimes whine in her kennel if she can hear exciting things like company happening without her, but she otherwise was said to do well in a kennel. Daisy was said to be wonderfully gentle with the baby in her most recent home and to do well with the other child, who she saw grow up from toddlerhood. She has been known to jump on people and counters and get into the trash when given the opportunity. She has also been known to dig. Providing her with both mental and physical enrichment is a great way to help mitigate these behaviors. She may also benefit form a basic obedience class with a certified trainer! If you are interested in meeting Miss Daisy, please give us a call!
