10/29/25 These adorable little pups are looking for their new home! They arrived at the shelter at a very young age and went to one of our wonderful foster families with their mom, Sweetpea! Now that they are old enough, they came back to find their new homes! In typical puppy fashion they will need continued help with potty training, kennel training, basic commands, and continued positive socialization. While in foster, they got a jump start on socialization with the children and cats in the home! These pups were also known to be super chewers! As they are teething, providing them with appropriate chews is important – if not they will find things to chew on! Puppies are a lot of work and a big responsibility, but if you are up for the challenge they are worth it! If you are interested in meeting any of these fun pups, please let us know!

Koda (A140063) is an 8-year-old husky who weighed over 40 lbs at intake!

10/25/25 This sweet little lady is Koda, and she is hoping to be an only dog. Koda was brought to the shelter because her previous owner needed to move into housing that did not allow pets. Koda was described as being a shy but gentle girl. She was said to not mind cats, but she dislikes other dogs and will growl at them. Koda has no experience with children, so please use caution and be sure to do slow and controlled introductions with kiddos. Koda was said to be housebroken and kennel trained. She is used to spending most of her time outside, so she may need some reminders on these issues in a new home as she adjusts to the routine. She has been known to jump on people and to be vocal at times. However, she was said to ride well in the car, and she knows some basic commands such as no, stay, and up. Koda was even said to have some training in harness, so she may be a great skijor or canicross buddy! If you are interested in meeting Miss Koda, please give us a call!

Ash (A140085) is a 3-year-old Labrador Retriever who weighed 54.7 pounds on intake!

10/28/25 This bundle of energy is Ash! Ash was surrendered to the shelter due to no fault of his own. He can be very vocal when it comes to new situations and meeting new people. However, he quickly becomes your friend (especially with treats) and is said to LOVE children! He was described as very gentle with children. Please keep in mind that he does have a lot of energy and is looking for continued guidance as he settles into his next home. We encourage his next owner to bring him to a basic obedience class to continue working on his manners. Ash was said to do well with other dogs but has no experience with cats or pocket pets. Please ensure you are making appropriate introductions with all new animals to help set him up for success. Ash was said to be kennel-trained, housebroken, and rides well in a car. He was described as truly man's best friend! If you are interested in meeting Ash, please let us know!

Sweetpea (A139797) is an 11-month-old Labradoodle x Husky mix who weighed 37.6 pounds on intake.

Foster update: Sweetpea was a delight in foster! She still has a few naughty tendencies and will steal human food if given the opportunity. Sweetpea was also noted to become a bit too rambunctious around the children in the home when they were running and playing. If you have children in the home; this is something to keep in mind. Please read her profile below for more information on how she behaved in her original home setting.

09/25/25 This talkative lady is Sweetpea! Sweetpea was surrendered to the shelter after having an unplanned litter of puppies. Her puppies are now weaned, and she is looking for her new place to call home. Sweetpea was described as a shy but friendly dog that warms up quickly and is motivated by treats! She was said to do well with babies, children, and women but is timid of new people and may bark. Sweetpea was stated to be kennel-trained but is not fully housebroken. She knows the command but is still working on her basic obedience and would benefit from attending a basic obedience class with a certified trainer to build her confidence. Sweetpea does have a few puppy tendencies like digging, chewing, jumping on people, and getting into the trash. She is looking for a patient owner who will continue to work with her. If you are interested in meeting Miss Sweetpea, please let us know!

Kai (A140087) is a 6-year-old DSH who weighed 11.53 pounds on intake!

10/28/25 This pretty lady is Kai! Kai was surrendered to the shelter and is looking for her new home. She is strictly an indoor cat and enjoys the comforts of indoor living! Kai was said to be litterbox trained and has used it well at the shelter! In typical kitty fashion, she was known to jump on counters and may enjoy a cat tree to lounge on! Kai has no known history with children but was said to do well with adults. She previously lived with another cat and was said to do well. She has no known experience around dogs. Please ensure you are making slow, safe, and controlled introductions with all new animals to help set her up for success. If you are interested in meeting Kai, please let us know!

Annie (A140099) is a 1-year-and-9-month-old possibly GSD x Norwegian Elkhound mix who weighed 54.5 pounds on intake!

10/28/25 This happy girl is Annie! Annie was a rescue from up north and we do not actually know her lineage. However, we suspect that she has German Shepherd, Norwegian Elkhound, Akita, and possibly Collie in her. She was surrendered to the shelter due to no fault of her own. Annie was said to LOVE people and was described as a cuddly and affectionate girl! She was said to do great with other dogs that she has met, but appropriate introductions are important! She has no experience around cats, pocket pets, or livestock. Annie was said to be kennel-trained, housebroken, and to ride well in a car. However, it was mentioned that when indoors, she has previously had access to a doggy door and would use it when she needed to go outside. They also stated that she does have experience on a tie-out. Annie is a very sweet girl but does have the habit of jumping on people and would benefit from attending a basic obedience class. She knows her basics like sit and come but is eager to learn more (and is food motivated)! If you are interested in meeting Annie, please let us know!

Looking for a buddy? Meet Simba ❤️

This sweet guy has been the best office buddy. He is visually impaired but they doesn’t not stop him! He is a very affectionate boy and loves to be held! We have found that Simba does best with a large litterbox, as he tends to tip over smaller boxes; but when provided a large box, he has done great at not having accidents outside it! If you are interested in meeting Simba, please let us know!

Say hello to this sweet girl, Dalama ❤️

10/22/25 This pretty lady is Dalama! Dalama was brought to the shelter as a stray and is now looking for her new place to call home! She was described as skittish by the finder but friendly. With her history of being at large it is very important that her next owner keeps her safely contained and restrained when outdoors so she does not make her great escape! Dalama should be on a leash, secure tie-out, or supervised when in a fenced-in yard so she does not escape! At the shelter, Dalama has done a decent job at keeping her kennel clean indicating she may be housebroken. We encourage her next owner to bring her to a basic obedience class to help work on her manners and build her confidence. We do not know if Dalama has experience around other animals or children. Please ensure you are making appropriate introductions with all new potential friends. We think Dalama may do best in a home without young children due to her personality. If you are interested in meeting Dalama, please let us know!
