Daisy (A127353) is a 3-year-old pit mix who weighed over 70 lbs at intake!

08/22/25 Daisy has arrived back at the shelter because her most recent owner was not having any luck rehoming her on their own. Daisy really likes to chew and will resort to chewing things she shouldn't if not provided with enough engaging and appropriate chew toys. She was said to get along with the other dog in the home, even sleeping together. However, at times, Daisy would startle awake and jump on the other dog, which the older dog did not tolerate well. She was described as having a rough play style but to be outgoing and friendly. Daisy will sometimes whine in her kennel if she can hear exciting things like company happening without her, but she otherwise was said to do well in a kennel. Daisy was said to be wonderfully gentle with the baby in her most recent home and to do well with the other child, who she saw grow up from toddlerhood. She has been known to jump on people and counters and get into the trash when given the opportunity. She has also been known to dig. Providing her with both mental and physical enrichment is a great way to help mitigate these behaviors. She may also benefit form a basic obedience class with a certified trainer! If you are interested in meeting Miss Daisy, please give us a call!

09/21/23 Sweet Daisy is back at the shelter due to no fault of her own. Her prior owners had a new baby and found they did not have the time to devote to her that she deserved. Daisy was said to do wonderful with people of all ages, including babies and children. She was stated to be playful with other dogs and has a calm demeanor around cats and pocket pets. Please ensure you are always doing appropriate introductions with all new animals! Daisy was said to be kennel trained, housebroken, and rides well in the car! In general, she minds well but might enjoy going to a basic obedience class to continue working on her manners! Daisy was described as an outgoing, friendly, and affectionate pup! She has been the sweetest girl at the shelter, and we would love to help her find her new family! If you are interested in meeting Daisy, please let us know!

07/06/22 Aiko (A-eye-ko) previously Daisy was returned to the shelter because the owner said they did not have enough time to spend with her. She is kennel trained, outgoing, friendly, affectionate, rides well in the car and does well with dogs according to her previous owner. She can be noisy, scratch things, jumps to counters to sn**ch food and will jump on people to say hi. She would love basic obedience classes to learn manners and some more basic commands. She currently knows sit, get in kennel and come here. She is not yet housebroken and tends to uriate when she gets excited. If you have the time for training with this sweetheart, then please give the shelter a call!

06/17/22 This little lady is Daisy. Daisy can be a bit shy at first and may take some time to warm up to her new owners. Her prior owner stated that she was fearful of men. Daisy has already warmed up to her animal tenders and is looking to find that new forever home. Her prior owner did not state if she was housebroken but did indicate that she was kennel trained and knows how to sit! Her prior owner also stated that she likes to play rough with other animals including dogs and cats. Please make sure to do introductions with other critters in a slow, safe, and controlled environment. Daisy is still a young dog looking for an owner who can continue working with her! She may enjoy going to a basic obedience class to work on her manners and help with socialization! If you are interested in meeting miss Daisy please give the shelter a call!

Oliver (A139174) is a 2-year-old Flemish Giant mix who weighed 10.13 pounds on intake!

08/21/25 This big handsome boy is Oliver! Oliver was surrendered to the shelter because his owner could no longer care for him. On arrival at the shelter, it was suspected that he had an Upper Respiratory Infection (snuffles) and was sent to a medical foster while he was treated. Oliver came in for his recheck and has been cleared for adoption! It is advised that his new owners monitor for future respiratory issues and that he be kept separate from other rabbits. Oliver was said to be mostly litterbox trained in his surrendering home and his foster said that he has done fabulously at using it! In typical bunny fashion, he was known to dig and chew. Providing him with appropriate enrichment and chews is important! Oliver should also have unlimited access to hay for his teeth and gi health, a measured amount of pellet food daily, and fresh greens! Oliver is a happy bunny who enjoys attention – especially pets behind his ears! If you are interested in meeting Oliver, please let us know!

Chew’Bark’A (A135489) is a 3-year-old German Shepherd x Husky mix who weighed 65.3 pounds on intake!

04/08/25 This happy boy is Chew’Bark’A! Chew’Bark’A was surrendered to the shelter because he was a bit too rowdy around the small children in the home. He was described as very excitable around babies and children. We did send Chew’Bark’A to a foster to see how he behaved in their home setting. Chew’Bark’A also had a behavior assessment with a certified behavioralist, and he received positive feedback. Due to his history, it was recommended that he go to a home without small children, but it was felt that he would succeed in a home with older children. In foster care, he did well with children, dogs, and cats! He was described as having a rough style of play so please ensure you are making appropriate introductions with any and all new friends. Chew’Bark’A was said to be kennel trained, housebroken, and to know a variety of commands! He would still benefit from attending a basic obedience class to continue working on his manners. He is a big boy full of energy looking for positive outlets so he stays out of trouble! If you are interested in meeting this handsome, fluffy boy, please let us know!

Indie (A134781) is a 3-year-old German Shepherd x Husky mix who weighed 60 pounds on intake!
08/20/25 Indie was surrendered to the shelter due to no fault of his own. He was described as a very loving dog who loves to cuddle! In his last home, Indie was said to do well with people of all ages including babies and children! He was also said to do well with other dogs and cats. Please ensure you are making slow, safe, and controlled introductions with all new potential friends to help set him up for success. Indie does have the basics down and was said to be kennel trained, housebroken, rides well in a car, and knows his basic commands. He does, however, still have a few naughty habits like getting into the trash, digging/chewing, and jumping on people/counters. Indie was also known to jump over fences if given the opportunity. He should always be on a leash, secure tie-out, or supervised when in a fenced-in yard. On arrival at the shelter we did find that Indie had an ear infection and was treated by the shelter vet. It was also recommended that he remain on a limited-ingredient diet to help with the prevention of future ear infections. Indie is also looking for an active home that can keep him happy and out of trouble! If you are interested in meeting Indie, please let us know!

05/29/24 This goofy boy is Indie! Indie is an absolute sweetheart, but he does suffer from anxiety. He always wants his people to be with him, and if left alone, he is known to be destructive. Indie is not kennel trained, but we highly encourage his next owner to make him comfortable with the kennel and reach out to a certified trainer to continue working on his manners. Indie was said to be housebroken and knows the basic commands of sit and come. Indie is an active dog looking for his next adventure buddy and a bonus – he rides well in a car! Historically he does well with children, strangers, and adults. He was also said to do well with dogs and to be curious of cats. Please ensure you are doing appropriate introductions with all new animals. Indie’s curiosity may get him into trouble! Overall, Indie is a happy pup looking for an owner with the time and devotion to continue with his care! If you are interested in meeting him, please let us know!

Jr (A122084) is a 5-year-old DSH who weighed 15.34 pounds on intake!

08/20/25 This handsome boy is Jr! Jr was surrendered to the shelter because his owner could no longer care for him. He was described as a great cat but not the most affectionate. In his last home, he lived with another cat and a dog. Jr was said to be very playful with the dog. Please make slow, safe, and controlled introductions with all new animals to help set him up for success. Jr was said to initially hide from strangers and has no experience around children. He is not overly fond of being handled and may do best in a home without small children or at least children who understand and can respect boundaries. Jr was said to be litterbox trained and has used it well. If you are interested in meeting Jr, please let us know!

Timber (A139370) is an 8-month-old Pitbull mix who weighed 52.2 pounds on intake!

08/20/25 This enthusiastic boy is Timber! Timber was surrendered to the shelter because his owner’s living situation changed, which sadly prevented them from continuing his care. Timber was described as an outgoing, friendly, and affectionate dog! However, he is a young boy who is lacking some basic manners. He would highly benefit from attending a basic obedience class to continue working on those manners and to put his energy into something productive! Timber was said to whine or sit by the door when he needed to go potty. Timber was described as having a rough style of play, which is not always suited for children. We think he would do best in a home without small children to set him up for success. He was said to be very friendly towards strangers and adults, but he does like to jump up on people. Timber was also said to be playful with other dogs but will chase after cats. He should go to a home without small critters that he may be tempted to run after. Timber was also said to eat EVERYTHING and will get into the trash if left unsupervised. He may benefit from being kennel-trained. Timber is a big goof looking for his right fit, if you are interested in meeting Timber, please let us know!

Mateo (A139329) is a 1-year-old Lab x AK Husky mix who weighed 67.1 pounds on intake!

08/19/25 This handsome boy is Mateo! Mateo arrived at the shelter as a stray and is now looking for his new home. While at the shelter, Mateo experienced a little bit of stranger danger, but with positive reassurance, he has quickly come around! Please ensure you are making appropriate introductions to help set him up for success! Mateo has seemed very excited to see his neighboring dogs, but we do not know his history with other animals outside the shelter. We suspect he has some husky him, which can result in a higher prey drive. Making slow, safe, and controlled introductions is important! Mateo should also always be on a leash, secure tie-out, or supervised when in a fenced-in yard. He has done a good job at keeping his kennel clean while at the shelter, indicating that he may already be housebroken. There is always an adjustment period as our new furry friends adjust to their new homes. We also encourage his next owner to bring him to a basic obedience class with a certified trainer to continue working on his manners and building his confidence! At the shelter, we have found that Mateo is a digger when outdoors and should be supervised when in a fenced in yard so he does not make his great escape! If you are interested in meeting Mateo, please let us know!

Hercules was described as a very special dog! He has the foundation work down – he is kennel trained, housebroken, rides well in a car, and knows his basic commands. However, we still encourage his next owner to bring him to a basic obedience class with a certified trainer to continue working on his manners. He may even enjoy taking an agility class!
