Queso here asking you to PAWS to read some incredible, feel good news 🩵
FMN has a soft spot for medically needy pets and has a high standard for providing quality vet care to all of our pets. With this, our vet bill is ever-growing and our main stress point at any given time. It can be a lot but it is always worth it knowing that our pets are happier, healthier, and have received a second chance they may not have had otherwise
Earlier this month, we received the biggest blessing from a long time supporter and true Alaskan philanthropist, Valerie Phelps - founder of Advanced Physical Therapy 🩵
Valerie has sent support for the rescue many times over the last 3 years and we’ve seen her do the same for other rescues & nonprofits as well, but this blessing is not one we would’ve ever asked for or could have ever anticipated. Valerie paid off our entire outstanding vet bill balance 😭
The shock, awe, and relief flooded us with a rollercoaster of emotions. We are left (almost 😉) speechless and with more gratitude than I could ever try to describe.
We’ve sat with this news, sharing and feeling all of the emotions with our friends and volunteers, taking a moment to breathe.
This blessing itself is beyond words, but it’s timing is even more so. Thanks to Valerie, we were also able to take in one of our newest friends Dane-iel.
Dane-iel is a 1.5 year old Great Dane who was at risk for euthanasia due to a CCL tear requiring TPLO surgery for repair. Without having our debt cleared, we wouldn’t have been able to step in for this sweet boy. He has been a joy to have around and is the perfect symbol of all the good Valerie’s blessing has provided and will continue to do so
We’ll share more on Dane-iel next week, for now - we just want to sit in this blessing a little longer with you all.
From the bottom of our hearts, from me, FMN volunteers, and every one of our furry friends, thank you Valerie!! 🩵🐾
