I’m almost at my wits end 🙃 & really need help
I’ll try my best to keep this short!
Our sweet, lovable, medical dumpster fire of a Great Dane has been with us for 5 months now 🩵 staying with his wonderfully patient foster family as we work through his medical needs
Since our last update & over the last two months, Dane-iel has incurred an additional $3,065.13 🙃 charges include many rounds of expensive antibiotics, 3 unplanned visits, follow up x-rays to ensure adequate healing, and now an amputated tail due to happy tail trauma😭
To add to it, last week during his routine TPLO follow up with x-rays, it was determined that the surgical plate installed would need to be removed once his bone has fully healed 😩 estimated to cost an additional $3023.90 at the end of November
If you do the math, that means that Dane-iel’s total cost of care is estimated to be $10,892.40 if everything from this point goes smoothly 😅
None of this takes into consideration other costs of care, including food, supplements, bedding etc. Not to mention the struggle of balancing multiple fundraisers for multiple needy pets in an economy where we are all struggling
Now, we are not complaining about the cost of services. The level of quality care Dane-iel has and will receive is well-worth $10,000 but it doesn’t make the situation any easier
After a difficult summer with several friends we weren’t so lucky to be able to save and a long list of pets in need & in our care right now while we’re just barely keeping afloat as is.. another complication and extraordinary bill is just the cherry on top
We are so grateful for all the support that has covered Dane-iel’s care up to this point! Rallying behind him and raising $4,800! & we hate that we have to ask again for more, but Dane-iel’s life is worth all the begging & fundraising necessary.
Dane-iel was at risk of euthanasia due to his bad knee before we were able to pull him. Nobody had the funds, the means, or the desire to fundraise and provide for him. Even though the last 5 months have not been easy by any means, we would do it again in a heart beat
If you have been lucky enough to meet Dane-iel, you know that he is a truly kind hearted, gentle soul 🩵 He has not a mean bone in his body and makes friends with everyone he meets. To think that his sparkle would’ve been cut short due to funding, is absolutely gut-wrenching.
In order to continue to provide care for Dane-iel and continue to help more dogs like him in the future, we need your help 🩵
