Did you know dogs can get runny noses just like us?!?!

🐶 Just like with people dogs can get a runny nose
🤧 The color of the nose discharge gives us a clue of what’s going on
🐶 When in doubt, call your vet!

Marcus has been working on simple commands and is doing awesome with sit!
He’s not quite a year old and a kennel is not the ideal place for a puppy, any dog for that matter. He needs a yard to run and play!
Let’s set up a meet and greet so we can get your new best friend home!❤️

Do you know why dogs are so obsessed with squeaky toys?!?!

🧸 Seems like something that annoying to us would be super annoying to a dog right?!….NOPE!!
🐶 Squeaky toys trigger their predatory behavior…plain and simple
🧸 the squeal or squeak of the toy sounds like a “dying rabbit”, or something of the nature
🐶 the high pitched noise actually stimulates dopamine release and therefore provides that mental stimulation
🧸 it also helps with that urge to chew something, other than your table leg
🐶 every time they bite down on the toy and it squeals, that’s an immediate reward to them!
🧸 dogs have powerful sensitive hearing and that high pitched sound triggers focus and curiosity
🐶 once the squeaker is no longer able to squeak, it’s done, it’s “killed”…the dog looses interest usually. There may be some of that final shaking of the toy to make sure they’ve actually “destroyed” it 😆
🧸 The dreaded squeaky toy may be annoying to us after awhile but it’s still a great toy to have around your dog!
