She’s not gone,she’s just not here anymore. She’s free from a body that couldn’t keep up with her tremendous energy and light.
Danny was left with a leg injury for far too long prior to being surrendered to a compassionate vet who took a leap of hope to give her a chance.
Thank you for supporting her. Thank you for giving her a chance and most of all,Thank you for believing in us so we could spoil her for the last little bit of her life and show her what love and community is.

I wouldn’t take back the time we had together for anything in this world. Although I wish we had more time together, I will forever cherish the moments, the cuddles, and the sweet little dinosaur sounds.

Danny gained her wings surrounded by love and the people that fought the hardest for her.

Thank you Dr.Vuong and this beautiful community who showed up when she needed it.

Danny’s heart stopped beating while under anesthesia twice.Her dedicated
doctor was able to resuscitate her long enough for us to be there to hold her while she took her last breath. She was safely tucked in my arms, I told her how amazing she was and how much she was loved. I told her that her memory will live on, we will honor her with this important work we do.
her x-ray today showed that her fixator had failed due to the bone being necrotic. There are so many fancy clinical terms that I’m not good with but what I do know is that she had some incredible people fighting behind her. Amazing vets willing to go above and beyond and a home where she belonged. that’s a lot more than a lot get to experience.

If you would like a refund from the donation that you made for her upcoming surgery, please reach out. Otherwise know that it will go towards continuing to fight the good fight and advocate for the birds. For the ones that need the most.

This is a heartbreaking ending but her story was beautiful.

I will forever think of Hope when I think of Danny.

A 30 second peek into just a small fraction of morning medical routine around here

this past week, I have pushed the boundaries on what I can physically and emotionally handle.

we are not superheroes over here. We are just a group of like-minded individuals who are doing the best we can to make this world a more compassionate place.

The support that we get is the foundation for everything that we have been able to create and make possible here

We are not heroes but together as a community we are strong warriors and we have seen impossible Turn into possible when we work together.

Right now we NEED to raise the remaining balance for Danny’s surgery.

🚨$1,999 is what we are up against.

We have to raise this. We have to do this for her.

I can withstand the blood sweat and tears, but I cannot pull invisible money out of a hat.

I want you to know that I’m working hard to try to make this possible,not only for Danny, but for everyone out there who is rooting, supporting and behind her on this Wild journey to getting her life back.

When it rains, it freaking storms around here!

Whisper is currently at vet emergency with what seems like an abscess that could possibly be caused by a foreign body.

Right now, we aren’t sure if it’s a Foxtail or if she possibly has a piece of a twig stuck in her mouth but what we do know is that our sweet old lady is not feeling well at all and we do not like that!

Walking in the door, we have already spent $1300 on blood work, sedation and an oral exam. Waiting to get the results back so we can move forward with treatment.

🚨This is why we desperately need momentum to continue on Danny’s fundraiser! We’ve been doing so good! unfortunately, we are at a standstill today and have not received any new donations.

We need to cover Danny’s upcoming surgery so we can make sure that we can continue to provide the best care possible for the residents that called this place home.

Please consider donating towards Danny’s surgery because right now we are absolutely panicking. It’s going to be nearly impossible for us to make up the remaining $2,441 of baby Danny’s surgery with another emergency and possibly another surgery with whisper.

Seriously, anything helps.

Last night was rough.

Danny is sore from her fixator adjustment/ tightening and was pretty restless the majority of the night.

She’s such a fighter and has such a desire to get back on her feet. The support that she’s receiving is beyond inspiring.

🚨EMERGENCY FUNDING 🚨

Warriors,I’m pleading with our community to help us continue to rally for baby Danny!

We just dropped her off at for her recheck and adjustments to her Fixator. This is a procedure that will require her to be sedated and it will have to be redone every week until it is removed.
Her second surgery is anticipated to be done in the next two weeks. 🚨We were given an estimate today for this next surgery, which includes the aftercare involved and that estimate was $7,500.

This is a very specific surgery requiring a specialist. We are grateful that they have offered us a significant discount as the surgery is usually around $12,000. The hardware alone that they will be using is several thousand dollars.

As I’m typing this, I have tears in my eyes and pain in my soul because I know times are hard. I know we cannot cover this surgery without support.

So far we have raised roughly $2,100 towards her upcoming surgery. This means we have less then 14 days to raise the remaining $5,400.

I am hoping we can spread the message about this little dinosaur that wants so desperately to get back on her feet. I’m hoping that our followers will see how much she deserves this chance and even if you only donate one dollar it’s monumental to what we will be able to do for her as a community.

I’m on my knees begging for support.

we are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Every donation is tax deductible. We are a little but mighty sanctuary and we do not get a lot of large donations yearly. It’s the small study donations that really make the difference.

This is absolutely the hardest part of the work we do. And I personally feel the weight of the universe and Danny’s recovery on my shoulders. I am the one that fundraisers. We do not have Grant writers. We do not have paid staff. I filled this weight and it is crushing me right now.

Baby Emu medical explanation and update 🚨

We are exhausted and very busy over here but wanted to share as much details as possible.
The support this sweet baby has been giving Fuels us to continue the good fight.

It encourages us to stand strong and gives us hope for a day that all beings will be treated with dignity,respect and proper care.

🚨EMERGENCY RESCUE FUNDING🚨

flock family, we need your support desperately right now! If you are on Patreon, you already know that we are feeling the full effects of spring with non stop calls,emails and surrender requests.

⭐️we were recently reached out about a baby that needs our support!

‼️In order to feel fully confident about us taking on an additional medical needs baby right now we really need to raise $1000 to feel confident about the sustainability of long-term care and supplies!

🚨we were contacted by a local vet who took over care and provided a life saving surgery for a baby emu.

The previous guardian was unable to provide the necessary medical care, attention, or financial responsibility, this hero of a veterinarian stepped in and gave this baby a fighting start.

This baby suffered a painful dislocated foot and unfortunately was left walking on it, causing the bone to actually protrude out of the skin. Not only risking dangerous infection but extreme pain. Emus cannot live with one leg so this was a life or death surgery.
The surgery was complicated, but it went well and now comes the hard long road of recovery.
This baby is weighing hard on us. We want to be able to provide the necessary rehab rehabilitation, but we need support from our community to make it possible.

No dollar amount is too little. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and every single dollar counts.

Blue Pigeon Rescue
The evening of Monday 5/26/25 we had spotted a white domestic pigeon on our neighbors roof. We had been seeing this same pigeon flying aimlessly around our neighborhood for at least a week prior. The day before on Sunday, 5/25/25, the same bird had flown over our house and we noticed that it was dyed blue! People release domestic white pigeons and doves all the time for weddings, funerals and other ceremonies. In this case we are suspecting this bird was used for a gender reveal party or being used for dog baiting. Pigeons or doves used for dog baiting will often also be dyed so the dog knows its target.

Pigeons are fully domesticated birds by humans, even the pigeons we see in cities are domesticated, they have just become feral. Same thing as feral cats or dogs. They are fully domesticated, just out of touch with humans. The pigeons and doves that are released for ceremonies are not always homing pigeons, which makes matters much more dangerous. These birds have absolutely no survival skills and typically starve to death or get picked off by a predator early on. It would be the same as dumping your pet dog or cat and expect them to know what to do and possibly make its way back home.
