Witch way to the treats?🧙‍♀️

Thank you to everyone who stopped by our table at Buzz N' B's Aquarium & Pet Shop annual Trunk-or-Treat last week! We had a pawsitively spooky time sharing goodies with all of our visitors (and our pups as well😉).

The Erie Humane Society will be closing early tomorrow, Saturday, October 31st, for Halloween. We will be closing at 3:00 PM.

Did you know shelter pets are especially good at trick-or-treating? 🎃 Those puppy-dog eyes and kitten snuggles could talk anyone out of a whole bowl of candy.🐾

We may have gone a little overboard with our extensive costume collection but our shelter pets couldn't resist getting into the Halloween spirit. There's still time for you to adopt a trick-or-treat partner!

Meet Nola, a 7-week-old kitten who needs our help. 🐾

A good Samaritan brought Nola to us as a stray with a severely injured right front leg, causing significant pain and discomfort. It is unknown what caused the injury. She was also covered in fleas, which led to blood loss and anemia.

Our veterinary team has determined that the best way to relieve her pain is to amputate the leg. Right now, Nola is resting and regaining her strength, so she’s ready for surgery.

Kittens adapt remarkably well to life on three legs, and Nola has a whole future ahead of her. 💛
