Midgardr Acres goat farm Miðgarðr Acres is home to many registered ABGA Boer goats for 6 years. we also have Lamanchas ADGA registered.

Vol Babe Boer Goats is finally producing babies 2014 birthing year was not the best for us as our Milker doe produced a Stillborn doeling and her mucus was green so we had no choice but to let her dry up immediately. We are hoping for a great 2014 breeding season and 2015 birthing season. We also have one Doeling on her way that is a boer doe so we hope to have her bred breeding season of 2015.

Topaz went into Labor as I was nursing a headache. Imagine My surprise when my mom said "hey! You have 2 kids on the ground!"my bottom was out the door! Will try and get some updated pictures here in a few hours.

Im proud to announce that the Ace x Topaz kids are both boys and doing well. I will not be retaining either.
Their tags are set at 5️⃣0️⃣0️⃣
Both boys will be registered at 80%.
Weathering will be in question at 1 month old. I may choose not to wether them but we will see not every buck is meant to stay a buck and it also depends on buyers if they have a buyer will choose if they want them as buck or wether. They will be available to leave farm at 2 months of weaning which will be August 3rd 2026.
We are located in Emmett Idaho.

Really disappointed in this design of rolling chicken egg nest box thing.... first of all its falling apart... the trays that are supposed to roll the eggs are great until today. One hen got her toe caught in the tray holes and im not sure how long shes been there for today. But im glad I checked on everyone and caught her and got her unstuck I will probably remove those trays and make some wooden bottoms that I can slide in and remove to clean as needed. The holes have to go.

Also keep your eyes peeled for baby posts this next week. Topaz is due June 9th or 7th and can go 5 days before and 5 days after but soon we will have boer kids on the ground. Collette isnt pregnant at all so she will be bred in September using the last 3 Hurricane straws I have, or I may see if I can find a purebred lamancha buck to use for a driveway breeding as she has been tested and cleared of all diseases juat to get a kid out of her and then go from there via AI.

Verdana's ADGA papers arrived last week before I had to go to work :) super happy to have them. I also sent Topaz and Aces registrations into ABGA today will renew membership tomorrow and pay for the register transfer of them and hopefully be able to register kids once born at 80% ^_^

Collette isnt pregnant with hurricane kids. What a let down but im not surprised. She has however taken to adopting Veranda. 🥰 I left for work Sunday evening and Benji was just being a lil do**he to Veranda. Collette was having none of that and put him in his place lol it was so cute. This morning I captured this its a bit hard to see but Veranda is hanging out behind Collette and following her as if shes mom lol and Collette is just grazing away. Lol

Im unsure if Collette has lost the pregnancy because we did see something via ultrasound and had positive tests could also have been horomones with the positive test im unsure but none the less we will either find a live buck to drive way breed with in September / October or we will try again with hurricane straws and this time just wait until shes seriously flagging :) last time she was not seriously flagging and didnt until 3 days later lol we just barely missed the cusp lol. Im just unsure if I want to wait much longer as shes 7 this year.

I had work this week and will again next week, Veranda on the other hand is used to seeing me check on her 4 to 5 times through out the day so for the last 48 hours she noticed. Hold up she's not been coming to check on me, and began calling every 30 minutes for me. My mother, who was texting me updates, and I were concerned she'd gotten hurt although she appeared to be fine. Thankfully she started throwing a fit on the day I was due to come home from work and I went out immediately to check on her. Boy was she thrilled to see me lol she was all over me haha. Silly girl. I told her multiple times im still here,im okay im not leaving you I just have to go to a job to earn money to pay for the things everyone and myself needs I know shes a goat but yall dont know. they think and hear alot more then we know. They are smart cookies. Lol Also gave her tons of kisses and she was satisfied for the evening. Lol

Took this screenshot last night of Collette. she was sleeping. I was going to keep her penned up today but her body isnt showing signs of labor other then up and down pawing when innthe pen but that could be because she hates being penned up. Not gonna lie, our stalls are made for boer goats and smaller breeds so I will probably make 8x8 pens in the future if possible. But for today I will just check on her every hour while shes outside just in case shes packing a single as im Starting to think once again shes not pregnant. And if she is pregnant she not ready to pop yet because its not hurricane kids..... I fear the day Ace got over the buck pen fence that he got her. :/ .... time will tell if shes gives birth 3 weeks after today.

Im absolutely impressed with this product right here. This is CDT and I just used it on the does that are pregnant and noticed unlike the barvac cdt brand from tractor supply this stuff from Colorado serum company doesnt sting them and make them cry or roll around on the ground it was a blessing to have something not do that. Im tired of traumatizing shots just as much as my goats are lol will be buying again. I got this one off jefferspet.com.
