This week has honestly been one of the most memorable times I have had in the mountains. It couldnā€™t have been anymore perfect, everything just seemed to work out perfectly. I got to spend some amazing time in the mountains with a great friend and meet new friends along the way. It has been 10 years since I have chased cats around the hills and this was the PERFECT way to celebrate a 10 year reunion! and have the most incredible dogs I have ever got to run behind and they know their stuff! This hunt was one for the books and I canā€™t thank them enough for everything they do. So thanks guys! And if anyone is thinking about looking into cat hunting I would STRONGLY suggest that you give Currant Creek Outfitters, LLC a call. Thanks again for everything guys! Canā€™t wait to get back out there!!

If I have any friends out there that are serious about elk hunting (and I know I do šŸ˜‰) then I canā€™t recommend this video series enough! And if you are even close to as serious as I am then you should definitely check out the elk101.com University of Elk Hunting online course. It was awesome going through that course and learning everything that I did, and now getting to see it all put to use really makes everything click! I am completely confident that after that course and after these videos, my freezer will never be without elk meat (unless I mess up the shot šŸ˜‚)! So check them out and see what you think!

Only 2 species in North America have ivory, the wapiti and the walrus. And I donā€™t live near the ocean šŸ˜‰ I canā€™t wait to make something special with these guys. Iā€™ve got 4 sets of ivory that I still need to use up. Whatā€™s the coolest thing youā€™ve seen done with ivory.
