Tis The Season For Caring!
For the remainder of the month of December and the entirety of January, all nail trims will be DONATION ONLY with 100% of the proceeds going to Heather Lawson and .
Some may know, but a lot of people do not... Heather works tirelessly around the clock to try and get our area's lost and homeless pets off the streets and to safety, whether that be back to their owners or into foster or adoptive homes to start the next chapter of their life.
She has been an ever present positive voice for me during my continued search for my personal dog Roxi when she went missing due to my landscaping company not locking or closing my gate back up. She has been a calming voice of reason when my dog mom heart and brain begin to panic, always just a second away via phone or text when I have had my scared and worried moments ..... When it first got cold .... "How will she stay warm? Where is she looking to hunker down? What do I need to do?"
I have personally seen how hard she fights to save each and every life, whether it's got someone looking for them or not. And she does it all for no pay. Zip. Zero. Zilch. Nada. She buys her own equipment, food for feeding stations, thermal devices, traps, cameras, etc. She drives her personal vehicles and pays for her own fuel to and from multiple cities, sometimes all in one day to look for pets, set traps and cameras, and to keep feeding stations going. And she watches those cameras all night long, waking up to check and goes out at a moment's notice when an animal finally decides to participate in the plan. She beats the streets to talk to local residents, hang posters, and pass out flyers. All for dogs who aren't hers and for no other reason than she cares. She is a constant voice for Lima's voiceless.
She recently got a small kennel shed donated, but that's only a fraction of what's needed to make it a useable space for her. She needs fencing, heating sources, non destructible runs, canned food for feeding stations, money for her phone bill to support her cameras (which may be cheap, but not when you have 10 of them all adding to it every month) gas cards, etc. We can't think of anyone more deserving of a New Year's celebration than her and would like to raise as much money and as many donated items as we can.
So please bring your pup out for a nail trim and help us support Heather this holiday season. You will never know when you might be the next person who needs her help.
**Appointment times are not necessary, but appreciated. And as always, we recommend you call ahead to ensure we have someone available for service. Phone: 419-331-1456 Text: 567-204-7064
