❄️ Cold Weather Alert ❄️
With temperatures dropping quickly tonight—from 62 degrees down to around 19 degrees—and very windy conditions expected, please make sure your animals are safe and warm.
If possible, bring your pets inside. If they must remain outdoors, please ensure they have proper, insulated shelter, dry bedding, and protection from the wind. Remember, these sudden temperature drops can be dangerous.
If you come across any stray animals, and you’re able to do so safely, please consider bringing them in and keeping them warm until help can be found.
Let’s look out for our furry friends and keep them safe through this cold snap. Thank you for caring ❤️🐾

🐾💖 Meet Tink! 💖🐾

This sweet little fighter is Tink, a brave and special female Pit mix with a story that will melt your heart. 🐶✨

Tink and her brothers came to us as local surrenders from a terrible situation. They were starving, their bellies full of worms, and Tink weighed only 2 pounds — so tiny she couldn’t even stand! 💔 But this little girl has shown incredible resilience and determination. In just a few weeks, she tripled her weight, started to grow her beautiful coat, and is thriving with love and care. 🌟

Tink is a little spoiled, but only because she needed extra attention to help her grow strong and healthy. Now she’s a happy, healthy, and playful puppy who loves cuddles, toys, and all the attention she can get. 🥰

Born around March 6, 2025, Tink is up to date on vaccines, dewormed, and is potty trained. She’s ready to find her furever home — a family who will continue to shower her with love and watch her grow into the amazing dog she’s meant to be. 💕

We hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and a blessed holiday season filled with love, warmth, and happiness. As we say goodbye to Christmas and begin looking ahead to the New Year, our hearts are full of gratitude and appreciation for each and every one of you who has supported All Starr Pet Rescue throughout the year.
As we reflect on the past year, we are reminded that none of what we do would be possible without our amazing supporters, volunteers, fosters, adopters, donors, and community partners. Because of you, we are able to keep the rescue alive and moving forward—helping cats, dogs, kittens, and puppies find their forever homes, getting animals off the streets, removing them from unsafe or heartbreaking situations, and supporting families who find themselves in circumstances where they can no longer care for their beloved pets.
As we head into the New Year, our mission remains the same: to save lives, spread compassion, and give every animal a second chance. We still have many wonderful, adoptable animals patiently waiting for their new homes, and we would absolutely love to see some of them ring in the New Year with families of their own. What better way to start a new year than with a new best friend? 🐾❤️
Please note that as the New Year approaches, we will not be holding an adoption event this weekend, but we are still scheduling meet and greets. If you are already pre-approved to adopt and are interested in meeting one of our animals, please reach out to our page or Michele Tvenstrup to set up a meet and greet. 🐾🎄❤️ Yesterday we shared the exciting news that we had welcomed a new mama into All Starr Pet Rescue—a brave girl who came straight off the streets of Texas and into rescue. Just a few short days after arriving, she surprised us all by delivering her puppies on Christmas Eve. We originally announced that she had nine beautiful puppies, and mom and babies are all doing well. 🐶✨
Well… Christmas miracles didn’t stop there. 🎄💖
Today, we are thrilled to announce that another little mama, a sweet chihuahua, who came in at the same time as our Texas mama—also straight from the streets—delivered her puppies today on Christmas Day! She welcomed five healthy puppies into the world, and everyone is doing great.
That makes 14 puppies in just two days—Christmas Eve puppies and Christmas Day puppies! Both mamas are resting comfortably, all babies are nursing well, and everyone is warm, safe, and loved. ❤️🐾
As always, we want to thank each and every one of you for your continued support. With 87 animals currently in the rescue, and with vetting costs, food, flea prevention, heartworm prevention, and medical expenses continuing to rise, we are truly in need of donations to keep helping animals like these mamas and their babies.
We have been incredibly blessed by the generosity shown this year, and we are so thankful for every single donation—big or small. Every dollar truly makes a difference and helps us continue saving lives.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for all the love and support you’ve shown us throughout the year. Whether it’s through adoptions, donations, volunteering, sharing posts, or simply stopping by our adoption events to give cuddles and love—every single bit means the world to the puppies, dogs, cats, and kittens in our care. Sometimes those hugs and belly rubs make a bigger difference than you know. 🐶🐱💕
This year, we were incredibly blessed by Replenish and Renew, who put up an Angel Tree for our rescue animals. Because of that, so many of our furry friends received Christmas gifts, and the generosity shown was truly beyond anything we could have imagined. 🎁🐾 Below are just a few pictures of some very happy animals with their gifts—and trust us, there were lots of wagging tails and content purrs!
To everyone who donated, shopped, sponsored an angel, or supported the Angel Tree in any way—you are amazing. The gifts and donations brought in have filled our hearts and helped make Christmas extra special for the animals who rely on us. The gifts are still coming in, and we have a few more to pick up next week that arrived after our initial pickup. We can’t wait to deliver those as well! ❤️

💕🐾 What an exciting and truly blessed Christmas Eve at All Starr Pet Rescue! 🎄✨
Just four short days after leaving the streets of Texas, a brave mama dog arrived safely to her cozy foster home in Lima, Ohio—and she wasted no time letting us know it was almost time. Yesterday, she brought nine beautiful puppies into the world! 🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶
All of the puppies were delivered healthy, and mama did an amazing job. She is now resting comfortably, snuggled up with her babies, spending Christmas Day warm, safe, and loved—something she never would have had without rescue and support from this amazing community. ❤️
Mom and babies will need supplies, food, and vet care in the coming weeks. If you’d like to help support their care (and the many other animals relying on us), donations are always greatly appreciated.

As Christmas Eve is upon us, our hearts are so full. 🎄❤️ We want to take a moment to say THANK YOU to each and every one of you who has supported our rescue this year. Whether you adopted, fostered, volunteered, donated, shared our posts, or simply cheered us on from afar — you made a difference. Because of you, so many dogs, cats, kittens, and puppies were given a second chance, a warm bed, full bellies, and most importantly… love.
This year was full of ups and downs, happy tails, soft purrs, tiny paws, and some tough goodbyes — but we wouldn’t trade it for anything. Every life saved, every adoption day, every healing journey reminds us why we do what we do. We truly could not do this without the incredible support of our community. You are the reason these animals get to know what safety and kindness feel like. 🐾✨
