We are so excited to announce a Level 1 Hands-On Acupressure Training opportunity in Black Forest, Colorado on September 12-13, 2026.

This two-day intensive is designed for students who are ready to take acupressure off the page and into real hands-on practice. Whether you are currently enrolled in one of our online acupressure pathways, planning to begin certification, or coming from another acupressure program that was primarily online, this is an incredible opportunity to refine your touch, improve your confidence, and practice directly with horses in a supportive learning environment.

During Level 1, students will explore practitioner grounding and body awareness, acupressure touch and methods, foundational meridian tracing, acupoint location practice, point categories, hands-on confidence building, and guided support while working directly with horses. This is where the concepts begin to feel real. You are not just studying points on a chart - you are learning how to find them, feel them, trace meridians, and understand how the horse responds beneath your hands.

This training also includes an online lifetime access course specially written to support and expand on what you learn during the hands-on intensive. This gives you the ability to review key concepts, continue studying after the weekend, and connect the in-person learning back to your broader acupressure education.

The full experience offers 25 hours of education and can support your pathway toward qualifying to sit for your acupressure board exam when paired with eligible online training and hands-on requirements.

For students already learning through Animal Acupressure Academy, this is a beautiful next step in your certification pathway. For students coming from other acupressure programs, especially programs that were mostly online, this is a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience, refine your point location skills, and build confidence with technique.

Location: Black Forest, Colorado
Dates: September 12-13, 2026
Special Pricing these dates only: $585 USD
Regular Price: $775 USD
Includes: Two days of in-person learning + lifetime access to the supporting online course
Spots: Very limited

This is an amazing opportunity to learn, practice, ask questions, work directly with horses, and gain the kind of hands-on experience that truly helps acupressure come together.

Comment COLORADO if you would like more details about this Level 1 Hands-On training.

Community-Based, Not Institution-Based: Healing happened in the village, in the barn and at the hearth.
- That is where it still belongs.
East Asian medicine endured for 3,000 years not because it was mystical, but because it was empirical, practical, and it worked for both people and the animals they depended on. It is nature-based science in its most refined form. When we return to that model — traveling from
farm to farm, caring for the whole herd including the humans — we are not adopting a belief system. We are returning to a time-tested ecological science of healing.

There is so much information out there about feeding horses.

One person says add more fat.
Another says focus on protein.
Another says balance minerals.
Another says remove grain.
Another says test your hay.
Another says try a different supplement.

And suddenly, trying to feed your horse well starts to feel overwhelming.

That is one of the biggest reasons I am creating the Level 1 Equine Nutrition course.

This course is being written to make nutrition feel practical, clear, and applicable in real life.

Level 1 is designed for both owners and practitioners.

For owners, barn managers, breeding programs, and anyone managing multiple horses, this course will help you understand the basics of building a thoughtful feeding program. You will learn how to look at forage, feed tags, ingredients, body condition, minerals, vitamins, protein, calories, and the different needs of different horses.

For practitioners, bodyworkers, and aspiring nutritional advisors, Level 1 is designed as a certification-level foundation. The goal is to give you the knowledge you need to begin offering nutritional support with confidence, professionalism, and a clear understanding of the whole horse.

Level 2 will come later and will go deeper into more complex cases, more advanced holistic nutrition, herbal support, and advanced nutritional strategies.

But Level 1 is the foundation.

It is where we learn how to stop guessing and start understanding what the horse actually needs.

Pre-order enrollment is currently open, and you can save over $500 before the course is officially released. Early students will also receive bonus materials as a thank-you for committing to the education before the full course is posted and available.

The expected release timeline is end of August to beginning of September, with the understanding that this may shift slightly if needed to ensure the course is complete, polished, and truly valuable.

If nutrition is something you have wanted to understand better, this is the time to get started.

Comment Preorder and I will send you the details on level 1! I am excited to get this out there.

Acupressure is one of the most versatile modalities in holistic animal care because it allows practitioners to support the body through specific points, meridian pathways, and Traditional Chinese Medicine theory.

While many hands-on modalities focus primarily on muscles, fascia, movement, or structural patterns, acupressure invites practitioners to look at the animal as a whole system.

It considers physical patterns, emotional responses, organ system relationships, energy flow, posture, behaviour, and the way the body communicates imbalance.

Acupressure may be used to support relaxation, mobility, digestion, immune function, emotional balance, performance recovery, senior animal care, and overall wellness, depending on the practitioner’s training and scope of practice.

What makes this modality so valuable is that it can stand on its own or complement other hands-on therapies beautifully.

For practitioners, acupressure creates another layer of understanding. It helps you ask better questions, recognize patterns, and support the animal in a more connected and intentional way.

“When we elevate the standards of holistic animal care, we don't just transform our profession - we transform the lives of every animal who will ever be touched by these hands.”
