Meet Yogi! Yogi is from rural Chapel Hill and loves to trail ride. He has done a ton of ground work and has super good manners. He loves attention especially being brushed and having his mane braided. We are so excited to see him settle in.

We are less than one week away from the start of camp! We have one last 2025 summer camp counselor to introduce. Last but not least is Aidan: Hi, my name is Aiden Francis. I’m originally from California, currently residing in New York attending SUNY Morrisville studying for my BA in Equine Science. This is my first summer at Camp Chestnut Ridge and I’m on Equine Staff. My favorite things to do outside of camp include cooking, playing video games, and either surfing or snowboarding.

Dutch made it to his new home! He got reunited with Magic who will be his new pasture mate. Dutch settled in well and we wish him luck at his new home! ❤️

This coming Wednesday(weather permitting) we will be having a small retirement party for Dutch. It will be in the main camp area under the pecan tree from 3:30pm to 4:30pm.

Dutch has been at camp since the horse program started. He has been foundational in growing our program to what it is today. He has taught countless campers to ride and while we are excited to have him start this next chapter of his career we are saddened to see him leave camp. If you’d like to come out and see him at camp one more time we’d love see you on Wednesday!
