Before and after stories like Goodie's remind us why we love what we do. ❤️
Goodie’s family came to us in May with a big concern. He had suddenly stopped bearing weight on his left front leg. After sedation and radiographs, we discovered fractures of both his radius and ulna.
Together, we discussed the treatment options and decided to manage the fracture with a splint. Because Goodie was young and the fractures were clean, we were optimistic about his ability to heal.
The road to recovery wasn’t without challenges. We managed a few mild skin infections associated with the splint, and, as anyone with a puppy knows, keeping a 6-month-old dog quiet for several weeks is no easy feat!
After nine weeks of dedicated care, follow-up radiographs confirmed complete bony union. 🎉 Goodie has now started light exercise and rehabilitation at home, and we expect him to make a full recovery and get back to enjoying life as the happy, active puppy he was meant to be.
Success stories like this are truly a team effort. We’re incredibly grateful for the collaboration and dedication of our doctors, veterinary nurses, and support staff. Most importantly, we want to recognize Goodie’s family, whose commitment to his recovery made this outcome possible.
