What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally? Connection. People, animals, nature, music, and those moments that make you feel like you're exactly where you're supposed to be.
What turns you off creatively, spiritually or emotionally? Arrogance, dishonesty, and cruelty - especially toward people or animals who can't defend themselves.
Favorite Curse Word - Sh*t. It's versatile!
What sound or noise do you love? - my wife playing the piano.
What sound or noise do you hate? - an alarm clock. Nothing good ever seems to come from that sound. 😂

🐾 Puppy Classes are coming to KHVC!

Puppy class is about so much more than teaching sit and down. We’ll help you build a strong foundation from the very beginning. Building confidence, positive socialization experiences, handling and veterinary care, foundation skills, and preventing common puppy problems before they start.

Just as importantly, you’ll learn how your puppy learns, how to communicate clearly, and how to reinforce the behaviors you want to see more of.

Classes are Wednesdays from 6:30–7:45 PM.

1. What is your favorite word? Dog
2. What is your least favorite word? Anthropomorphism - attributing human characteristics, emotions, behaviors to non-human animals. Enrages me, that we think humans are the only beings with feelings, and we greatly underestimate the communication abilities, emotions, and capabilities of animals.
3. What turns you on creatively, spiritually, or emotionally? Helping others
4. What turns you off? Crowds
5. What is your favorite curse word? F&*K
6. What sound our noise do you love? The sound of everyone at home sleeping. You know that I have a lot of pets and my elderly mother lives with me. My favorite time of the day tends to be in the late evening when we're gathered as a family and I'm on the couch with a bunch of dogs and the rest of them are hanging out on the floor and my moms asleep in her recliner and all the dogs are asleep. Little snores from certain ones, I'm the only one awake, it's quiet and serene, everyone is safe in our little house. It's not fancy, big, in a great area, but it's ours!
7. What sound or noise do you hate? Fireworks
8. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? Stay at home dog mom
9. What profession would you not like to do? HUMAN medicine
10. If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates? Thank goodness you're here! We had to build a special wing at the rainbow bridge to accommodate all your predeceased pet dogs, cats, fosters, patients, and rescues that have been waiting to see you. Your wing is so loud! They go bananas EVERY SINGLE TIME someone knocks on the pearly gates, Lacey and Athena have been bickering for 50 years, CJ jumps up every time someone says "ok," Sawyer refuses to do anything other than float a cloud saying it's his pool raft, and Mia has been meowing "NOW" very loudly for 40 years demanding something called cheezits. Please take care of your own flock now. We're taking a 40 year vacation.

Next Doctor Spotlight: Dr. Roberts! If Dr Roberts is not taking care of our wonderful patients, you can find her hanging with her family and friends on her boat! Her newest role is that of gardener! She is hoping for a bountiful harvest this summer! 🍅🌶🥗 Wonder what her answers were to James Limpton's Questions....

1. What is your favorite word? Actually. Especially when my toddler says it!
2. What is your least favorite word? But. It's not the word, just what follows that I usually don't like.
3. What turns you on creatively, spiritually, or emotionally? I love craft. Currently crochet, but anything I can make with my hands. Gardening has been my new obsession. traveling and reading have always brought me happiness.
4. What turns you off? Lack of motivation, stagnancy. I like having goals, plans.
5. What is your favorite curse word? Fiddlesticks. Gotta keep it clean for the kids and practice makes perfect.
6. What sound our noise do you love? Spring, is that a sound? When the World starts to come alive and the birds are singing, that.
7. What sound or noise do you hate? Crying, specifically my kids.
8. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? I would own a farm store next to our house. Sell veggies, eggs, amigurumi (crochet stuffed animals), or whatever else I enjoy making. Maybe do vaccines on the side.

SLINKY is in the house! Meet Slinky the Leopard Gecko. Leopard Geckos are native to semi-dessert grasslands in India and Nepal. The spotted pattern serves as camouflage among the earth, rocks and dry grasses. Slinky is 1.5 years old and will soon be in the reception area. He will spend a couple weeks acclimating and getting to know us in a quiet space.
