UPDATE: Booberry has been found and is back in rescue care! The police are searching for the thieves.

Please share and keep an eye out! We work closely with this rescue. These young men stole this kitten from the Lynnwood Petsmart adoption area last night.

As some of you know, we work closely with Seattle Veterinary Outreach, collecting donations and volunteering. We accept donations year-round, but in this month of abundance and thankfulness, we wanted to spotlight current needs.

We have a donation bin in our lobby, where you can drop off new or gently used items to be distributed to low income and unhoused pet owners in our community.

Currently they are very low on stuffy/squeaky toys, coats and sweaters for the chilly months, harnesses/leashes and small cat/dog beds.

We thank you for your continued support of the important mission of closing the care gap that exists for so many right now!

This week we celebrate National Veterinary Technician Week! WVC is so fortunate to have 7 Licensed Veterinary Technicians and 2 of our 8 veterinary assistants are in school to obtain their licenses as well!

You may ask why licensing is important....just as in human medicine, there are varying levels of tasks and care that are required to fully care for patients. We strongly believe that formal education, passing national examinations and strong mentorship, are all required for a well-rounded veterinary practice.

Because our licensed technicians are involved in your pets care from appointments, to anesthetic procedures, to nursing care while hospitalized, we know your furry family is in the most compassionate, competent hands! (And ask any doctor what makes them successful....they will tell you their technicians and assistants!)
