We are a boutique style daycare and boarding facility, where we focus on a smaller number of dogs and providing them with bigger experiences. We are a professional pet care business offering science based training methods, Dog Daycare, Adventures, Dog Walking/Pet Sitting and Lure Courses powered by Swift Paws (as seen on SharkTank). We take pride in our training methods that are endorsed by the AV

MA (American Veterinary Medical Association) and the ACVB (American College of Veterinary Behaviorists) as the ideal way to train our beloved companions. We don't use tools that inflict pain or fear such as prong collars or shock collars. Instead we cultivate relationships and understanding through education, empowerment, and reinforcement.

Last week we shared a reel about Ivy. A rescue gal who spent 9 months in the wild, endured two pregnancies, and survived getting shot with buckshot. She is absolutely terrified of humans. Through patience, listening, observing, and maybe a little magic fairy dust sprinkled in, Ivy has grown leaps and bounds with allowing us into her trusted space. Her mom said this was so quick of her to warm up to us. It’s that Beachtown Difference where Smaller Numbers + Bigger Experiences = Happier Dogs. You’re in great hands, Ivy! Thank you for allowing us to love you and earn your trust.

We love that this wonderful smoothie (& more!) shop is walking distance away from Beachtown Dogs, and that they’re dog friendly! The pups love going for a walk & getting a special cookie, and we love the King Tide Smoothie. Win-win.

It’s no secret to anyone who knows us that we often help dogs who have been through some of the worst experiences imaginable. Some dogs learn to feel safe and trusting pretty quickly, and for others, it’s a long road to recovery.

Meet Ivey. She is our newest Pack Member. She was a stray in Texas for 9 months before she was able to be trapped and brought in to safety. In those 9 months of running from sounds, people, animals, and frankly who knows what else, she endured 2 pregnancies AND if that wasn’t hard enough on a starving dog, someone shot her with buckshot 😭. Exhausted, malnourished, in agonizing pain from fragments scattered throughout her body, and completely terrified of humans, Ivey finally allowed strangers to catch her and bring her in to a shelter.

From there, Ivey’s story becomes one of hope. She got adopted by the most kind-hearted woman and made her way to FL. Her mom knew if there was anyone that could help her overcome her traumas, fears, and insecurities, it would be us 🥰.

Chili Cha Cha here showing off his handsome self and his super comfy 2 Hounds Design Freedom No-Pull Harness. Did you know, when your pup goes on an adventure with us, we always use a Freedom Harness? Why do we do that, you ask? For many reasons!

Some key benefits of a Freedom Harness includes: comfortable straps to help prevent chafing discomfort, and a front & back clip to help provide the handler with total control. Whether your dog likes to eagerly walk fast, or lunge after a squirrel/bicyclist/another pup friend, etc, the harness is designed to give you power steering and redirects the dog back towards you, without compromising your arm and shoulder. The back clip also works to gently tighten to help discourage pulling. Best part of all, is that it takes the strain & tension off of the dog’s throat. Normal collars can cause injury to a dog’s throat and they don’t offer the benefit of being able to redirect the dog in those excitable moments.

If you’re looking for a new harness, let us know! We are happy to offer a variety of colors and sizes to fit most pups and can help you ensure that it is properly fitted, too!
