⚠️RABIES HEALTH UPDATE⚠️

Terrestrial rabies (land-dwelling mammals like dogs/cats, raccoons, skunks, foxes, and coyotes, rather than bats) was in Nassau Cnty (feral cat; 2024) & in Suffolk Cnty (raccoon; Feb 2025).

Boeringer Ingleheim has recalled a batch of the IMRAB 3TF rabies vaccine. The batch contained only sterile water, making the vaccine ineffective.
