We are especially thrilled to share that Tilly, who had been patiently waiting for just the right family, finally found her happily ever after. 💕 Moments like these remind us why we do what we do.

🚨 Meet Ditch — also known as Ding D**g Ditch — the cat who literally showed up on our doorstep (well… technically left in a box inside our shelter). Clearly, he decided this place was his now.

Ditch is loving and sweet, but don’t be fooled — he’s also got a sassy side that keeps life very interesting. His hobbies include:
🪴 Plant destruction (he calls it “landscaping”)
🗄 Cabinet raids (quality control, obviously)
🧸 Toy takeovers (all of them belong to him)
🏔 Scaling new heights (yes, he climbs EVERYTHING)

Let’s not forget his signature look: the “knobby knees.” Poor Ditch has luxating patellae, but the specialist says he was likely born this way and will live happily without surgery. Honestly, it doesn’t slow him down one bit — if anything, it just adds to his unique charm.

Now, we must issue a warning: Ditch gets amped up when playing and can get a little…toothy. He swears it’s love bites, but let’s just say he’s not for the faint of heart (or for people who enjoy their ankles remaining un-nibbled).

If you want a cat who’s equal parts sweetheart, comedian, daredevil, and chaos agent, Ditch is waiting. Just be prepared — life with him is never boring.

UPDATE: Transport is now scheduled to arrive Tuesday, the 27th
🐾 This Friday, hope arrives. 🐾

We’ve made the decision to take in a group of puppies who desperately need our help. Half of them have already run out of time where they are—and without us, they wouldn’t have had a future. 💔

They deserve the chance to grow up with love, playfulness, and safety—not fear and uncertainty. At Mt. Pleasant Animal Shelter, we are opening our doors and our hearts to them, but we need YOU to help us give them the best start possible.

💖 Meet Georgia 💖

Georgia is a very sweet dog with a loving disposition and a smile that can light up any room. She warms up quickly to new friends, loves a good game of fetch, and despite her size, thinks she’s a lap dog 🐾.

She may have a few pounds to shed (don’t we all?), but she’s the perfect motivator to get outside and enjoy the summer sunshine with. ☀️
